To worry the vacc might worsen tinnitus?

I've had tinnitus for just over 9 months, unknown cause. I'm still trying very hard to adapt/live with it and the thought of it getting worse terrifies me. This is the very reason why I haven't been vaccinated yet but I've finally plucked up the courage and booked in for tomorrow. Absolutely petrified though. Any experiences? I've read reports that the vacc has triggered it in people and so made it spike.

I'll be having Pfizer due to age, not sure if any relevance.

I have constant issues with tinnitus, I have now had both Pfizer vacs and no additional problems with tinnitus.

It hasn't made any different to mine, had pfizer too, what does make a difference to me though is times of anxiety, which may be a more common link seeing as so many people are up a height about the vaccines.

Both DH and I have tinnitus. Neither of us have found that the vaccination has made any difference to it. Both had Pfizer.

DSis and I both have tinnitus and have been double vaxxed. I had Pfizer, DSis AZ and both fine.

It's how your brain reacts to the noise of tinnitus that affects how you cope.

I developed tinnitus after getting my vaccine. Not sure if the two things are related.

I had four AZ and my tinitus is the same.
It gets worse when I'm tired.

I have two AZ!

I have tinnitus about 5 years now.

It's caused by a reduction in hearing, there's certain frequencies I don't hear at all, and basically your brain goes into overdrive and inserts noise.

You need to get your hearing checked.

Hearing aids definitely help,

Oh and I've had both vaccines.

I had tinnitus after possible Covid early in the pandemic. It had worn off but came back after the AZ vaccine .

I have awful tinnitus after Covid turned into a secondary ear infection and a burst eardrum.

It's been 7 months now and honestly it's awful. I have background noise all the time else it drives me mad. The vaccine didn't make it worse though.

Mine's been much better since the vaccine (AZ).

@Reachersloveinterest Sorry you are struggling with this too. It's truly horrid. Hoping it'll get easier as the years go on......

Tinnitus here too, had for around 10 years. moderna jabbed. No change for me.

I’ve had tinnitus for 26 years and no difference after having AZ (double jabbed).

Honestly, I’m sure some people definitely have side effects related to vaccines but if you go looking for symptoms you’ll be able to blame something on them.

I've had no change in my tinnitus after 2 AZ vaccinations.

I have tinnitus and have had Pfizer with no issues. Still same as it always has been. Good luck

Tinnitus here, and not affected by vaccination.

I have tinnitus after having labyrinthitis and this is one of the long term symptoms, alas.

I have had one dose of Pfizer due to age too however it has made zero difference to my tinnitus.

Also I have had tinnitus for 12 years. Definitely notice it at less than I did at the start, I can hear it now because I have drawn attention to it but I manage to block it out most of the time. I can't remember the last time I thought about it. It has become more manageable than the first year. Hopefully you are both the same @pinkpowderpuff and @reachersloveinterest

I have tinnitus caused by meneires. No change.

DH has had tinnitus for years. He's double jabbed and the vaccine didn't affect him, but he had AZ not pfizer.
