Neighbours are going to get worse for the next 6 weeks, aren't they.

Just that really.

It is still relatively early but it is a Sunday night. Neighbours have bought a trampoline with loads of kids screaming and screeching on it all day and it shows no sign of stopping. Loads of adults squeezed onto the garden, shouting and hollering and playing music loudly.

I've seen a lot of nightmare neighbour threads recently- it is going to get worse for us over the school holidays isn't it.

Are they like this alot?

Seesawmummadaw · 18/07/2021 21:21

Do they not work?

MostlyMaple · 18/07/2021 21:22

@Seesawmummadaw I'm not sure. I'm hoping they do 😂

@Dontdripme they've been known to be loud yes but usually on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Hopefully its just novelty on a Sunday due to new trampoline

MakeMeCleanTheHouse · 18/07/2021 21:25

New neighbours recently and fairly noisy family which I'm resigned to. We have big gardens but their music is louder than I'd play in my own garden. The otherside of me also playing theirs and one over the back shouting and swearing at sport on TV. Ironically first neighbour switched music off and went inside. Another stopped yelling at TV sports for music and first neighbour yelled "turn it down" in my direction....

I'm sat in the middle of them all and I suspect all of them play their music loudly enough for my other neighbours to hear who assumes it's me...

30degreesandmeltinghere · 18/07/2021 21:26

We got a trampoline in April. Barely used now. Though dd did sleep on it last night..
She saw 2 shooting stars!!.

MostlyMaple · 18/07/2021 21:56

I don't understand why people are so inconsiderate. I get it's been amazing weather but sadly a lot of people are back at work tomorrow; why do some people think it's OK to be as loud as possible? Are they thick or just ignorant?

Kids still on the trampoline, it is so noisy 🤬

I wish I could afford to live somewhere with no neighbours and no one around, preferably surrounded by fields and woodland with no public pathway so no walkers. I fucking hate having neighbours, I hate hearing them talk (or sing at the top of their lungs because they're in a choir), smoking, bbq, have fun, laugh, I hate it all. I want silence, I dislike most other people hugely and have been known, even at uni, to knock on doors and tell them to keep it down. And summer makes it so much worse.
I know, I'm a ray of sunshine 😂

CurlyhairedAssassin · 18/07/2021 22:14

Oh I hear ya, @Fleetw00d!

LemonSherbetFancies · 18/07/2021 22:17

Have this with my next door neighbours kids. Shrieking, shouting, now they have installed a hammock which falls directly near my window. Hmm
Going to have to speak with them I think. Can't bear it any longer.

Puddington · 18/07/2021 22:18

A kindred spirit @Fleetw00d!

lllllllllll · 18/07/2021 22:18

I live in London and am good friends with my neighbours. It’s a peaceful area but on the very rare occasion they do make noise, it doesn’t bother me at all - I like them and it’s nice to hear them having fun!

Yip I am so with you!
Lemonmelonsun · 18/07/2021 22:22

Op my sympathies but I can assure you that trampoline will die down definitely its definitely a novelty.the person in the middle!!

Poor beggar...

It's just hideous, the noise around here today has been so fucking loud and its tinny shite fucking music.

If it was good music great, but it's hideous and it's not even a party its I've selfish prick, one, who could be wearing ear phones...

Lemonmelonsun · 18/07/2021 22:24

Conversely I quite like the hum and chatter of a party or a celebration.. Children's parties I like that... But one selfish prick... Literally affecting so many other families.... Its so loud you can't hear yourself think.

Vallmo47 · 18/07/2021 22:24

I share your pain OP.

TheHateIsNotGood · 18/07/2021 22:27

Fleetw00d you are my people.....

RyanAirVeteran · 18/07/2021 22:38

I live in a fraightfully nice part of Surrey, we never hear anything from our neighbours, but then my DS is twenty, next door have no children by choice and the other side have two in their twenties, it is bliss.

crimsonlake · 18/07/2021 22:40

My heighbour's have been awful today with loads of family over. They have a huge trampoline which they have positioned right next to the fence and right next to my patio. The novelty of this has not died down since I hve been living here 3 years. The children jump so high I can see thir heads above my fence and the trampoline overhangs my fence by a couple of feet.
They have been jumping around screaming all day, jumping in and out of a swimming pool which includes a slide.
The several adults cannot hold a quiet conversation and you can hear every word above the screeching.
At one time an adult did tell them to quieten down, but not to be considerate to the neighbours, it was incase they woke the baby.
I wanted to sit in my garden and read a book, no chance of that.

You are going to have families that have been under strict restrictions for the past year enjoying their gardens for the next 6 weeks, buckle up, its going to be a bumpy ride, then winter comes and we will all be stuck inside again.

Ffs 🤦🏽‍♀️

MostlyMaple · 18/07/2021 22:42

@crimsonlake I feel your pain. I'd love to be able to sit out with a good book but sadly the neighbours' children and music and general loudness is a huge distraction Sad

OP posts:
MostlyMaple · 18/07/2021 22:43

@LemonFantaGin there is a difference between enjoying your garden and letting your kids scream outside at 10 o clock at night on a Sunday.

31 degrees and a weekend. Hopefully this is the worst it will be? Work tomorrow
