Where has all the cannelloni gone?

Been to 4 supermarkets today, Sainsbury, Tesco, Asda and Aldi, not one had any cannelloni shells in. I could swear it used to be easily available everywhere. Are they blocking Italian products at Dover or something?

I haven't looked for canneloni but I've been having a lot of trouble finding lasagne!

That's what I did bit it all came unravelled in the dish. With the ends raising above the sauce and becoming as hard. Awful.

DH works in freight and he’s been saying for ages that logistics experts keep saying there are big shortages on the horizon. 😔

He didn’t specify cannelloni though!

I love making orzo salad in the summer but no luck finding that either 😢

I had trouble buying it a while ago but found it in my local Morrisons. It wasn't a supply issue though, just not that many people wanted to buy it so my Sainsbury's stopped stocking it.

I managed to get some on my Sainsbury’s delivery a couple of weeks ago but I’ve been looking IRL for ages and haven’t tracked any down, so you’re not alone! Finally got to do my spinach and chicken cannelloni last week after wanting it for ages!

I know it's not cannelloni but today Morrisons had no nappy sacks or dog poo bags. The assistant said they don't think they can get them! Been like it for a few weeks.

We went through a big cannelloni phase in the last lockdown and could never get hold of it either! Not checked recently but we did manage to get some in sainsburys online.

Yes Sainsbury's came up with the goods for me too. Try a different branch?

I have some Goat shanks that I want to do greek stylee with orzo and i am getting impatient!

Wherever it is, it’s taken the broccoli with it. Two Aldis, a Lidl, a Tesco and the local Middle Eastern supermarket and not a floret for be seen.

Cannelloni hasn’t been available for years! It’s weird.
We ate it all the time in the 80/90s

Sainsburys really cut down their pasta selection after the Covid buying frenzy - I did manage to buy some canneloni a few weeks ago but its appearance on the shelves is patchy.

My fussy cat is not impressed that Lidl haven't had their luxury catfood pouches for over a month. The only stuff he eats with enthusiasm.

I've just looked on Ocado and they have two different brands in stock. Maybe I should buy it all up and sell it at inflated prices to you lot

What do you put in it can I ask? I miss it but have to be dairy free and I used to stick to ricotta or cheesy topped cannelloni

Haha it's so true! We had this issue BEFORE brexit, doesn't seem to be a big seller these days. My husband works for a food supplier and managed to get some from wholesale but it's the kind of random thing you might see in TX Maxx or Home Sense, with all the gifty food things?!
