To think it's good England football team came second ...

It fine to come second. It's good for our kids to know that and to see how well the team did to get to the final and how well they played anyway. It's good for us all to know that coming first isn't the all important thing.

And this has shone a light on something far more important than winning - racist bullying - I feel like we're actually talking about it now. The racists and the idiots in government are having a proper light shone on them.

This feels an important moment that wouldn't have happened if we'd have won.

Racist bullying happens all the time unfortunately, especially online.

And it will continue as long as the social media platforms are not held accountable in any meaningful way.

Twitter, Facebook and Instagram all far too much of it to stand, just as many other platforms do.

Really? There are a lot of nice football supporters. There are some that are distgusting and let England down but that is not all of the supporters.

A lot of people are pissed off with the hooligans that always let us down.

The majority of fans are supportive, passionate and proud of the team. The fucking idiots who are violent and racist are a minority and an absolute disgrace.

I hate the racist side of it, but to say our fans don’t deserve it is just silly.

If games took into account which fans behaved well enough to deserve a win nobody would ever win. Every country has these arseholes.

That said these particular arseholes are ours to deal with & I hope anyone that can be identified as making racist comments will suffer the consequences - be that losing their job, being banned from games or where possible being arrested.

Bitter much? England were the more aggressive team in the first half, then the Italians came back at them hard in the second. Obviously Chiellini's move was out of line but there was nothing else any different to what the English players were doing the whole game.

Italy won on a penalty shoot out. Not much of a glorious win is it? It's a fucking lottery, and pure LUCK that they won. Fuck all to do with being more talented than England. Italy were aggressive and thuggish and at LEAST 3 or 4 of them should have been sent off. You're deluded if you think their players are more talented than England's players

Also a load of old cobblers. Only a small minority of England fans are racist thugs. Saying we don't deserve to win is pathetic. Like a few others have said, some people on here act like no other country has racist thugs for football fans... The fans in many countries are WAY worse than England fans.

It's very clear that Jorginho was running in for the ball and that he was not deliberately stamping on Grealish's leg.
