To wonder where Matt Hancock is hiding?

Does anyone else find it odd that the press haven’t found him yet, given that they must be looking everywhere and most people would recognise him if they saw him now? Do you think someone is harbouring him somewhere? Why are they hounding his wife and not looking for him? I mean can’t hide forever can he, at some stage he’s got to come out of the woodwork and face the music instead of hiding like a coward.

@HalzTangz it concerns me that he was part of a government whose inactions and actions needlessly led to thousands of deaths. He should not be hiding but be facing criminal charges along with the Prime Minister.

Precisely.

Agreed. And he’s still an MP so still a public servant.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 02/07/2021 22:00

He is a weak man to feel the need to hide away from the public.

VeganFishFingers · 02/07/2021 22:05

Exactly. I’d have more respect for him if he came out of hiding and said ‘I’ve massively fucked up, I’m very sorry’.

Yes. The silence is very telling, not to mention damning.
SmashingBlouson · 02/07/2021 23:04

Hancock and Gove are round mine playing spin the bottle with Pritti Patel.
@LakieLady if you do see him give him a smack round the face from me! Thanks!
And me!!!!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 03/07/2021 07:27

Why do the Tories always seem to have such complicated marriages?
Now Gove as well.

Did anyone in government actually have their mind on the pandemic?

FreeBritnee · 03/07/2021 07:30

In this situation some people will only be satisfied if the person takes their life.

I absolutely don’t want anyone involved to take their own lives! They’ve both fucked badly, but I don’t think anyone has insinuated we’d want them to top themselves!

FreeBritnee · 03/07/2021 07:52

But it’s the push, push, push mentality isn’t it. I still don’t know how the DM have the gall to print any supposedly sympathetic Caroline Flack articles when they were haranguing her so viciously right up to her death.

These people are flawed humans like the rest of us. They are held up to a higher bar by virtue of their jobs, but are still the fucked up dickheads that we all were in our younger years. Yes he was right to resign/be sacked, yes he should have abided by the law and rules that he helped set down but no he doesn’t deserve to be hounded till he drops by the press and individuals.

VeganFishFingers · 03/07/2021 08:08

It’s not remotely the same as what happened to Caroline Flack. He buggered off and left his wife to face that media scrum on the door step. She might have been happy to be photographed, she might not. But either way that’s cowardly behaviour.

OP posts:
Anniegetyourgun · 03/07/2021 08:42

Good lord no, we don't want the bugger to top himself. He shouldn't get away that easily. There are questions to be asked, some of which only he can answer. Anyway he'd only be turned into some kind of Martyr for Love.

Personally I don't care where he is at the moment and I don't see why it matters, particularly. The important thing is that he can be found when the trial starts. (Ha. Like that's going to happen.)

Well no it’s not the same in that she allegedly attacked her boyfriend having found dodgy texts on his phone and MH had an extra marital affair during a pandemic, but the media storm is as predictable as ever.

Good point.
RoseRedRoseBlue · 03/07/2021 11:09

Yet, nobody seems to have a problem with the public hanging, drawing and quartering of the chap that got involved in the Chris Whitty fracas. He has lost his job, been charged and been slaughtered in the press......

That guy is a fucking prick and deserves it - total chav bully boy behaviour
RoseRedRoseBlue · 03/07/2021 11:28

Well, you could argue the same about any number of people. The point I am making is that we shouldn’t really be picking and choosing who we vilify and how. Hancock needs to be held to account, as does the Whitty guy. I don’t like the selective nature of all this.

Cactus1982 · 05/07/2021 12:58

Well he’s still ‘missing’ isn’t he? I’m gobsmacked that a paparazzi with a zoom lense hasn’t found him yet. The Mail on Sunday said they ‘believed’ he was in his constituency. Don’t the people who live there have cameras? Surely he’d need to go to the shops etc?

Fucking weird how he’s just vanished after being so omnipresent for that last eighteen months.

Frownette · 05/07/2021 13:00

I'm finding it a bit surreal

Blossomtoes · 05/07/2021 13:04

I kind of admire him. His Scarlet Pimpernel act is quite impressive. He could hold masterclasses for potential pap targets.

3scape · 05/07/2021 13:07

Pals? Oh dear. No. None of those people he gave all those deals to will be giving him any favours. He's not in a position to earn them millions anymore. He ll have to live off the backhanders now.

Me to. The tabloids can usually find anyone. Why haven’t they found him. Or Gina? I had wondered if he’d taken an injunction out on the grounds of privacy and to protect his children.
