Food order coming tomorrow morning. WiFi down so took ages with 4G to do it all. AGES. It went through and I had email Confirmation.

P is away till tomorrow. He Logged in from his phone and I think somehow managed to delete the order. He swears blind he didn’t but I’ve logged in again and it’s completely gone. Although no cancellation email. Is this a glitch with the site or had it gone?

We had scheduled our weekend plans around that delivery and the food etc as can’t just pop into a supermarket.

AIBU to be absolutely raging? Im so upset.
I always do all the shopping, meal plan etc. I have a system. He doesn’t want any part of it (just expects the meals) and the one time he logs in to add to the list, it’s all gone.

Argghhh.

If you think IABU, please let me know how you would handle it differently. Blush

I think YABU because you don’t actually know If it’s cancelled

Womencanlift · 25/06/2021 23:03

Yes YABU. You don’t know for sure yet if it’s been deleted so to be raging is a bit of an over reaction.

Contact the store, check if it has actually been cancelled. If it is not then you owe your DP an apology for your reaction and if it is well either reschedule plans, or one of you reschedules and goes to the shop, or you get a small shop to get you over the weekend and get another delivery for Monday or Tuesday night

SorrySoldOut · 25/06/2021 23:04

you need to calm down first

i doubt its cancelled without an email to confirm

Fiddliestofsticks · 25/06/2021 23:05

If it was cancelled, wouldnt it be in your "cancelled orders" section. I'm sure Tesco has a cancelled order sections. I might have made that up.

LawnFever · 25/06/2021 23:05

I think it’d be pretty difficult to delete a whole order, why was he logging into the account? If you haven’t had a cancellation email maybe it’s a glitch, call them first thing?

LoopTheLoops · 25/06/2021 23:06

Yes Tesco’s does

KnackeredHag · 25/06/2021 23:06

My online delivery emails with every amend,/addition/expected delivery time so if you haven't received an 'order cancelled' or to that effect then it must still be coming? So, erm, no Yabu or not atm Wink

DeflatedGinDrinker · 25/06/2021 23:06

Yabu it is not the end of the bloody world is it

Turquoiseraindrops · 25/06/2021 23:13

You’re right, it’s really not. Things are very strained with P so I think was simply the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I’ll remain hopeful that it will turn up, as no cancellation email. 🤞🏼

Well if your P never does the grocery shop and expects meals to magically appear and has deleted a grocery order when you can’t get to a shop easily I would also be angry.

Call customer services to check the order is still being processed. Check your junk mail to make sure you’ve not received a cancellation email.

You sound stressed and this sounds like the straw that could break the camels back.

Graphista · 25/06/2021 23:21

When is it due tomorrow? Can you call the supermarket concerned first thing to check? That's what I'd do

What are the challenges for you for getting groceries?

I'm housebound so rely on deliveries and I messed up my own today! Annoyed with myself!

IF it's been cancelled depending where you are you may be able to get a same day delivery if you order in time I think usually before noon. Your usual supermarket may not but try the others there's also beelivery but I haven't used this service myself.

I've occasionally used just eat as a couple places near me are on there for basic corner shop type things - bread, milk...chocolate! Priorities see Grin

Sounds like you're stressed anyway which can make even small inconveniences feel a lot worse - last straw scenario

Hope it's sorted for you

Pixxie7 · 25/06/2021 23:58

I had this last Monday where my whole order just disappeared, I know I didn’t cancel it. I was fortunate as when I rang they gave me a slot the next day.

StuffinThePuffin · 26/06/2021 00:09

YANBU to be extremely pissed off that the order has disappeared, but YABU to blame P. You don't know what has happened and to be honest it sounds more like a technical issue than him just accidnetally deleting an entire order of shopping.

tallduckandhandsome · 26/06/2021 00:13

If he has cancelled it HE needs to sort it. You are probably right that he has done something to it.

BringOnTheOtherWorlders · 26/06/2021 00:17

I hear "I have a system" and then being upset because someone else messed with the system - makes me think you're being rigid and controlling.

LoopTheLoops · 26/06/2021 00:18

Hope you apologise if you got it wrong

tallduckandhandsome · 26/06/2021 00:20

Apologise for what, doing all the shopping and cooking whilst he sits on his arse and expects to be fed?

Viviennemary · 26/06/2021 00:22

YANBU. DH has just annoyed me tonight. Too much when people just can't be relied on to do things properly. I feel your pain. The simplest thing botched.

toocold54 · 26/06/2021 00:23

I’d give them a ring and double check. I would think it’s quite difficult to cancel it so not something that he could have done by accident.

LoopTheLoops · 26/06/2021 00:25

For accusing someone of doing something they didn’t Hmm

tallduckandhandsome · 26/06/2021 00:26

Well he used it last so she's entitled to ask.

AZisgreat · 26/06/2021 00:27

Is it still listed as one of your orders? Which supermarket is it?

Tomatobear · 26/06/2021 00:28

Our Tesco order also disappeared last week! Think it's a glitch with their system as it isn't the first time we've had problems like that.

LoopTheLoops · 26/06/2021 00:29

There’s asking and then there’s “raging” something tells me she didn’t just ask him!
