AIBU to be utterly peed off that another one of our Ministers - rather than devoting his time and effort to getting the country out of this mess - is busy carrying on with an aide (which he appointed at great expense to the tax payer) - aaaaaaag.

I hope it wasn't before May 17th when he deemed hugging was allowed

Francescaisstressed · 25/06/2021 06:54

His poor wife and kids.
I do think this coming out is weird, definitely some people behind the scenes trying to take him down. His own fault though!

I would put money on it being the same person who drove to a castle to test their eyesight…..

To say I'm no fan of the current tories would be quite the understatement. But I felt sorry for Hancock, a man who had obviously been promoted not on the basis of any talent or experience but on the basis of his willingness to pretend that he thought Brexit was a good idea, and could never have predicted that he was going to end up handling a crisis that would have tested even the abilities of a health secretary who knew what they were doing. I always thought he looked quite haunted in his interviews. I thought he probably sometimes zones out and remembers that tens of thousands of people have died, alone and before their time, on his watch. Turns out that when his eyes glazed over he was probably thinking back to his last resignation with his bit on the side?

Whinginadeville · 25/06/2021 06:56

Quick get the pitchforks

drpet49 · 25/06/2021 06:57

I have no sympathy for Matt Hancock

Witchesbelazy · 25/06/2021 06:59

Dominic Cummings is sat sipping his tea smugly this morning

Thisisworsethananticpated · 25/06/2021 06:59

Oh man
He is toast
I shouldn’t feel sorry for him
But I do , and his family

StealthPolarBear · 25/06/2021 07:00

And apparently no covid rules were broken, maybe they bumped elbows for a bit longer than with other people?

Yeah all of that. But having an affair is just unforgivable.
Bagelsandbrie · 25/06/2021 07:00

Sorry just re read your last bit. I agree.

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 25/06/2021 07:00

It's really shit for his wife to have this explode into her life, let alone in full glare of publicity.

There is nothing in the tabloid story to suggest that the affair has been going on in breach of the regulations. They can only be sure that she started working for him a year ago, and that they were caught out one month ago.

The salacious details of how and when it started will fascinate the prurient. As she was an employee, there is however an important question on whether the affair has begun when she was appointed, or if it is something that arose later.

musicalfrog · 25/06/2021 07:01

My god. There are TWO women willing to snog him and he found them both? What are the chances. Confused

Lemons1571 · 25/06/2021 07:01

Johnson and Cummings really want him out don’t they. He’s the fall guy for everything. Boris will also retire imminently as he will make far more money by public speaking than he would as PM, with none of the responsibilities of an irritating pandemic. DC will predictably slide back in next to Rishi Sunak. And no one would ever guess this was the cunning plan all along Grin

PicsInRed · 25/06/2021 07:02

Hey remember when sex with someone you didn't live with was illegal? Not even hugs allowed? Not even a pat on the back except at the G7? Remember when people died alone?

Oh Matt, what is he like.

TheoMeo · 25/06/2021 07:03

Well he can't be sacked as he is following the behaviour of our great leader.
But recruiting her in the first place is a bit suspect.
When I had mad crushes on people the last thing I was interested in was my work. Somehow these men are giving their all to their jobs Hmm whilst having an affair on the side.

I thought you were meant to socially distance from colleagues. Or is this one of those DC “well it was never actually the law” type get outs?

If I realised I wasn't capable of doing any job I would resign, let alone a job which was responsible for life and death decisions.

I have no sympathy at all for him, the fact that he is a cheating bastard is just the icing on the cake.

FindingMeno · 25/06/2021 07:04

@musicalfrog GrinGrinGrin
He's a nasty little weasel and I hope this sinks his career.

hamstersarse · 25/06/2021 07:05

Ewwwww the way he is kissing her.

He looks like a teenager at the school disco having their first snog

I don’t think he’s one of those dark horses who is dynamite in bed, that’s for sure

TheoMeo · 25/06/2021 07:05

I can't believe DC will get into a Gov position again. Surely!!!

But surely technically I'm still not allowed to hug my mum?
Crowtooyo · 25/06/2021 07:05

His poor wife. I hate the media.

CrappyBirthday2Me · 25/06/2021 07:05

Like a PP I’m just gobsmacked that he found one wanna to go anywhere near his creepy little face, let alone two.
