Secret Ceremony okay or should we have had a Public Holiday?

I'm sure we all wish the lovely young couple every happiness in life whatever they choose to do, and hope they will be able to afford to move up to a house soon. But should we have had a bit of a national holiday on their wedding or was a secret ceremony the right thing to do?

Are we supposed to know who you're on about?

ghostyslovesheets · 30/05/2021 04:29

I couldn’t give a tiny rats wank

Toddlerteaplease · 30/05/2021 04:32

No. Who cares. I'm wondering how they managed to have a Catholic ceremony though.

Seafog · 30/05/2021 04:35

Why do you need a holiday just cause he got married?

Jennyfromtheculdesac · 30/05/2021 04:42

Definitely national holiday. Any excuse to get the bunting out.

StoneofDestiny · 30/05/2021 04:51

I wish he'd bog off to a secret island and stay there. The rampant shagaholic will be back in the divorce courts soon enough or fiddling with his next 'affair'.

Dalamalama · 30/05/2021 04:55

I has to google to find out who you were on about. Young? It definitely should have been a public holiday but only because I'd like another day off, otherwise I couldn't give a ff.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 30/05/2021 05:23

Maybe they chose a bank holiday weekend so we didn’t ask to be given an extra day. Not a wedding I care about but I didn’t care about the last wedding that got us a bank holiday.

MaryBeardsShoes · 30/05/2021 05:31

Johnson is 56, hardly young, and married twice already. His "vows" are hardly cause for any kind of celebration.

orangejuicer · 30/05/2021 05:36

Can you imagine the reaction if he'd tried to wangle a bank holiday? No fucking way.

Allington · 30/05/2021 05:39

Grin I suspect the OP has their tongue in their cheek...

monkeysox · 30/05/2021 06:19

They kept that quieter than all lockdown rule changes. Everything else leaked day before. Pair of dicks.

mogsrus · 30/05/2021 06:38

A holiday, they got married,so what, employers would have loved that, seeing that atm they are hanging on by a thread to employ you,a national holiday could just get a lot of people looking at the employment Q

newnortherner111 · 30/05/2021 06:55

It has brought out a first- a protestant Northern Ireland First Minister offering congratulations to someone marrying a Catholic.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 30/05/2021 07:16

A holiday because the PM got married? WHY?!

AwkwardSquad · 30/05/2021 07:24

A national holiday because a serial philanderer who is also a paid public servant gets married, again? No. Really not a reason for a holiday. A reason to ask ourselves what they’re trying to distract us from? Yes, definitely.

DeathStare · 30/05/2021 07:30

They couldn't have had a big public wedding - we would have all been trying to count how many of the people there might be his children.

newnortherner111 · 30/05/2021 07:42

@DeathStare his children who are older and/or adult would not attend, I expect.

They may have a larger celebration next year, party or something similar. Sadly, because Mr Johnson won't be facing the criminal charges I think he should face.

JustKeep · 30/05/2021 07:53

It would be ludicrous to have a bank holiday just because bojo is getting married again. It’s just not that big a deal. They were already living together and had a baby, so honestly I don’t think anybody outside their immediate circle really cares.

Bananahana · 30/05/2021 07:55

That’s what the royals are for.

Hummingbirdblue · 30/05/2021 07:56

Has his divorce from the last one actually been finalised yet?!

JillsFlapjacks · 30/05/2021 07:57

@Toddlerteaplease

No. Who cares. I'm wondering how they managed to have a Catholic ceremony though.
That's my only interest, too. Two annulments?

Hard to tell on MN sometimes!
Cuntryhouse · 30/05/2021 07:59

Imagine the number of holidays if it was for every marriage/affair/child. Vile person.

Atalantea · 30/05/2021 07:59

Man who doesn't know how many children he has, on his 3rd marriage, sacked from the newspaper?was it the guardian? Can't remember) for LYING who cheated on his wife, and who hid in a fridge, oh god the list is endless

Least fuss the better
