I've posted about her before I know. But I do feel she speaks about inappropriate topics with my grandkids. I am really trying to enforce good behaviour with them right now and yet she told them a story about when she was young and a child in her class farted loudly at storytime and the whole class erupted in laughter. The kids were laughing hysterically but I do feel it was inappropriate and not enforcing good behaviour/encouraging bad habits.

How old?

thefourgp · 24/05/2021 21:58

Lighten up

Summerdayshaze · 24/05/2021 21:58

Get a grip.

Cheeseandlobster · 24/05/2021 22:00

Really? Kids love fart stories. Stop being a kill joy

SnarkyBag · 24/05/2021 22:00

Yeah you probably need to lighten up a bit. Kids love a good fart or poop story if it’s a constant stream of fart or poop stories though that could wear a bit thin though

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 24/05/2021 22:01

Well your not the fun grandparent are you?

grapewine · 24/05/2021 22:01

She tells them a story, and they're now going to fart in class - is that it?

Quite a reach.

Dresssos · 24/05/2021 22:01

Oh, do blow off.

ProbablyAboutTime · 24/05/2021 22:02

Hmm Biscuit

Russell19 · 24/05/2021 22:02

I'm a teacher and this happens all the time. At least once a fortnight. I even laugh sometimes 🤣

clpsmum · 24/05/2021 22:03

Omg get a grip

sbhydrogen · 24/05/2021 22:04

Pfft.

Keepitonthedownlow · 24/05/2021 22:04

If this is the worst you can up with them you are being a misery guts. Your friend sounds lovely, especially taking an interest in your GC.

TrinidadQueen · 24/05/2021 22:04

Hmm It's just not appropriate in my eyes. I don't want them to think that this is acceptable or funny. It may sound negative but I want them to be respectful and to learn class and manners. I just don't like them discussing these childish topics and thinking it is funny. I find it crude.

HOW did you ever survive your kids growing up and the teenage and young adult years? Confused

amiahoarder · 24/05/2021 22:06

I can imagine how hilarious they found that story. It's fine.

mainsfed · 24/05/2021 22:06

They really won't start farting in class after this. The school atmosphere will stultify them.

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 24/05/2021 22:07

You know finding poo jokes funny and being respectful are not mutually exclusive you know. It’s about teaching them when they can be silly and when not to be. Loosen up a bit
BeHappyAndSmile · 24/05/2021 22:07

Crude? Confused they're kids! Farts are hilarious to them, she's just entertaining them. You need to lighten up! You can have manners and still laugh at farts

Tiffanny · 24/05/2021 22:08

How is a kid farting bad behaviour? It's natural and normal

Get a grip

Cheeseandlobster · 24/05/2021 22:08

Not appropriate Hmm Yes its childish but they are children ffs

ChicFennel · 24/05/2021 22:09

I just don't like them discussing these childish topics

You don't like children discussing childish topics.. god help us.

PinkArt · 24/05/2021 22:09

Childish topics are for children, no?!

Twinkie01 · 24/05/2021 22:09

Jesus we weren't allowed to pass wind in front of my father or even say the F word (fart) it's made me have stupid hang ups about normal, natural bodily functions to this day. Farting is funny when you're a kid!

cochineal7 · 24/05/2021 22:10

I hope you don’t have Alexa, as she does lots of different fart sounds at first request.
