To be annoyed at friend?

I've posted about her before I know. But I do feel she speaks about inappropriate topics with my grandkids. I am really trying to enforce good behaviour with them right now and yet she told them a story about when she was young and a child in her class farted loudly at storytime and the whole class erupted in laughter. The kids were laughing hysterically but I do feel it was inappropriate and not enforcing good behaviour/encouraging bad habits.

I thought you were going to say she was taking talking about her sex life or something in front of them!

Farting is a completely appropriate topic for children.

But the whole reason that they erupt into giggles and love the story so much, is because they already know that it’s not acceptable behaviour. That’s what makes it funny 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kids will learn this from their friends anyway. My kids swear now they’re in their teens. I don’t like it and tell them I don’t want to hear it. They know not to use it against people or outside of the home but I can’t control their every waking hour. Like my mum says they’re just words. Fart is the least of your concerns

Farts are funny. A kid farting in class and ppl laughing is funny. Your friend told them a good story.

Surely one of the best things about being a grandparent is the excuse to do childish things with your grandchildren? I love teaching mine silly jokes, none about farting or pooing so far, I might actively look some up, and my skipping and hopscotch are coming on a treat. You sound like a total fun sponge.
