Extra scary bits added onto vaccine passport/app thingy?

I was watching Talkradio earlier and the discussion was about extra info being added to the vaccine app, that appeared to have zero relevance to anything covid related.
Things such as full health history, work history, any criminal convictions etc.
Aibu to think this sounds utterly bizarre or have I got it wrong?

YANBU - I have also heard this and seen the details within the app of the information it holds on you. People have lost their minds if they think this is a proportionate response.

Ffs. The ‘Vaccine’ app is the NHS app which has been in existence for ages where we can access our medical information.

Because it's the NHS app and you can access all your medical history on it. Except I can't because I haven't got round to connecting it to my GP surgery.

This has just made me check said app which has been on my.phone for a while. As well as being able to book (non existent) GP appointments for me an my kids I now can see the vaccine doses I have had! No additional details there... some media can make a story out of any old crap!

It's not a vaccine app, it's NHS app with your medical history. Hence it having a record of your immunisations etc...

Yabu in believing this rubbish. It holds your health data (although not very complete) and that is only if you do it through an Id check. It does not hold data on criminal convictions or work history. How would the NHS even know your work history. Ffa

But it was being fully discussed on the radio 🤷🏻‍♀️It even discussed criminal background

And it doesn’t ‘need’ thar info - the app was created for the purpose of accessing health information. The easiest was of showing vaccination status is to use already existing infrastructure surely?

Yeah, that’s what I asked. The only app recording your vaccine status that I know of is the NHS app which will obviously have your health record (but then only if you’ve linked it). I’ve just looked at mine, no sections relating to work record or (my many ) convictions. Which radio station are you listening to op?

That’s odd Another as I downloaded the app on Monday and it didn’t have any reference to work etc.

It would be foolish to think "they" don't have access to all of this information already.
I personally am grateful to have my medical records available in this format.
