Or do you know someone that is? I'm curious how many real life people are actually on it.

I'm not a journo, the Daily mail is a shit rag.

I dont know anyone on OF but I am old, fat and invisible to men. It's not really my demographic.

I find it totally depressing that the best we can do as a society is to encourage women to strip off and perform sexual acts for men but it's all good and to be encouraged as they are making money, get to go to Dubai and buy handbags..

I despair.

@NameChange189373

Can I ask exactly what sort of stuff you do

Of course. I’ll try to give you a basic photograph of how it works for me so sorry if my explanation is long. So I charge a basic subscription fee and then I post a photo every single day, sometimes more. I don’t take pics every day, I usually dedicate one day a week to creating my content and doing outfit/hair and makeup changes and then upload it throughout the week. I can’t tell you how much I charge per month as I often do offers eg next 5 subscribers get 50% off or if you subscribe for 3 months then you get 20% off.

The posts that I post that my subscribers get access to are not naked. They are in underwear/bikinis/suggestive poses. I would never post a naked photo on there because they would be getting access to my naked body for not a lot of money. Once subscribed your subscribers have the option to buy personalised content from you. You don’t have to agree to this obviously and you can negotiate on it. I don’t do porn or anything like that however do topless and more risqué. I should add that I used to be a dancer (or stripper as I know some people prefer to call it) so nudity doesn’t bother me.

Subscribers can also send you tips and often people do this in return for you messaging them. I don’t have a big social media following however I have around 15k followers on Instagram and I know a lot of my subscribers do come from that. It is actually really hard to get subscribers, I know a lot of girls who I used to work in the club with have made it and then ended up going over to camming because it is hard as so many girls have OF now a days. I’m lucky I had a smallish following on Instagram as I don’t think I would have done so well out of it otherwise. I am 24 as I imagine that may be asked, my Mum knows about it too. I’m happy to answer questions if anyone has them but won’t be answering any derogatory or inflammatory ones as I am happy with my life and with having OF. Hope this helps.

Interesting, thanks! Do you think being v young and getting in fairly early on this helped you - if you were starting out now do you think the market would be too saturated to build up subscribers without doing significantly more explicit stuff?

@SchrodingersImmigrant

I don't think accountants are glorified pimpsConfused
Not accountants. An accountant that specialises in the "adult industries". And the "glorified" part should indicate to you that it was hyperbole. In any event, this person's living depends on women working in sexually exploitative industries. Which is nothing to be proud of.

That's just ridiculous. It's like saying immigration lawyers specialising in asylum seekers are glorified traffickers🤷🏻

Everyone should have an access to wuality advise no matter what they do. And it's good someone is providing it

ncgy · 21/05/2021 17:50

To me, that's the scary thing, having people (not all, but there will be some) who think they know you through the pictures and fake relationship they need to cultivate and believe they are entitled to a bit of you.

That's the part I find terrifying, it's like influencing you need to sell yourself. Not worth any amount to me.

No it isn't like immigration lawyers at all.
BentBabyBastard · 21/05/2021 17:53

The girl that someone mentioned whom posts on TikTok is brilliant, I love her.

She has just bought a 4 bedroom house outright with her earnings (up to 100k per MONTH) she is popular because she is funny as hell!! She's self deprecating, honest, and seems like a fab person.

You can see though that she's having to do more extreme stuff to stay 'on top' though which makes me sad - I'd love to see her retire and become a social worker or something.

Look her up she's hilarious she's called 'Beckymil' (with whatever number she has a suffix as she's always getting banned)

NameChange189373 · 21/05/2021 17:55

Yes and no. It really is all about promotion. A lot of girls out there have whole Twitter accounts dedicated to pushing their OF pages. It really is a lot harder than just making a page and having £££ come to you. I think I was lucky in the fact I had a larger than average Instagram following and I did post a lot of bikini pics on there anyway (like a lot of young girls) so I was like well the only difference is I’ll be being paid for it so I don’t really promote it anywhere, I just have it in my insta bio and might do an insta story if I’m doing an offer for the next x amount of subscribers.

I think there is money in it without doing more explicit stuff but you would have to really push your page hard and do a lot of promo. I know some girls with a lot of subscribers will post a link to your page on their OF feed that’s active for 24 hours if you pay them. That being said, a lot of the money does come from personalised content. I know girls who charge a lot for a 15 minute explicit video.

MissScotland101 · 21/05/2021 18:02

NameChange thanks for answering my question.

There is 2 women within my city who drive about in a van that has OF on it and under that they have ‘daddies little whores’ written on it, I couldn’t believe it when it drove past me!Shock

wigjuice · 21/05/2021 18:02

My ex had the audacity to suggest we could make money if I opened an account on there, yeah right, told him to piss off and ended things that evening.

That’s so wrong on so many levels, that’s no man if you ask me, pimp rather than a boyfriend.

We actually have about 50% male 50 female clients.

We chose to offer a specialism as we were getting reports of clients getting judgemental, offensive treatment where they were clearly looked down upon. They were not treated in the same way as any other self employed person which is a poor reflection on service providers.
As accountants in the UK do not have to be qualified or regulated by law, this meant clients had been to accountants who weren't qualfied and regulated (as we are) and were being subjected to propositioning and unacceptable treatment based on the nature of their profession. This shouldnt happen. I can make sure these men and women can run their businesses properly and get the same professional service as anyone else . They get charged a normal fee for a professional knowledgable service in a safe non judgemental environment.

Nodal · 21/05/2021 18:11

Bleurgh. I'd literally rather starve in the street than do porn work and let saddos wank over me, so damaging to women as a whole.

wigjuice · 21/05/2021 18:21

@MissScotland101

Total dickhead to be honest, can't believe I was daft enough to fall for the egit.

riceuten · 21/05/2021 18:22

@FireWafer

I think there are some really judgy comments on here. I know a couple of people who are on there and they make pretty good money. It is not porn at all. One is a single mum who is just desperately trying to provide for her children and works 2 other jobs as well as posting on there. I take my hat off to her! What she chooses to do behind closed doors and non of anyone elses business. If I didn't look like miss piggy I'd be up for it but alas I am chubby and fart too much!
You would be surprised at the wide variety of "interests" out there.

Absolutely. The normalisation of porn as a way of life for all women isn't something to celebrate, is it?

Yay, we can all be sex objects for men, and then when the men don't want us any more, we can be rejected as sex objects by men! Lovely, sounds like a life and a society I want Angry

Hamster1111 · 21/05/2021 18:28

"Sex work is ruining society and warping men's view of women? Give me a fucking break! Sex work exists because of men's warped view that they can rent a vagina for their own pleasure."

But they can rent a vagina can't they? On OF for a fiver Hmm

No not really.

This particular accountant's interest is in the proceeds of sex work. They have no interest in their clients either leaving sex work or in preventing others entering the profession - if the MLM nature of Only Fans is to be believed, their most lucrative OF clients rely on entry level girls to exploit.

An immigration lawyer dealing with asylum seekers does better in the opposite situation. The fewer ASs, the better the political climate, the kinder the laws will be for their clients, future and current. They try to create case law precedent that means fewer people seeking asylum will be brought into the court process. Most importantly, their work is to remove their client from their distressed/disadvantaged state, not perpetuate it to make an ongoing profit.

Serpenta · 21/05/2021 18:30

@MissScotland101

Exactly and frankly, without sex workers then there would be far more rapes and assaults than there is now, disgusting but true and men are the issue, not women.
this is a bad take. praising sex workers for acting as a trauma buffer for 'real' women.
MadameTuffington · 21/05/2021 18:31

@MissGendered DD19 hates it - says it is basically a porn site where some of her contemporaries can earn easy money selling nudes to a range of sad pathetic men willing to pay - apparently celebrities also use it for this purpose - it cuts across all social groups - in fact one of DD19’s posho friends makes approx £2k per month currently.

It shocks me - call me old fashioned but ffs have some self respect ladies ...

Nodal · 21/05/2021 18:33

Oh that's ok then. Let poor, vulnerable or sex trafficked young girls be raped and abused so professional and privileged women don't have to be. Yes that's the answer of course.

MissScotland101 · 21/05/2021 18:34

People don’t like when sex workers don’t pay tax and then when they do, then the accountants get criticised for doing their job, helping people with their accounts so that they can pay tax, it’s lose lose.

Sex workers cannot be blamed for men’s perversions, men are the issue, not women and there is demand for sex workers and women are only supplying that demand, maybe if men weren’t so entitled then women wouldn’t make money off of them, many men are just weak when it comes to the female sex and most that pay for sex genuinely delude themselves into thinking that the women do the job because they just like sex, this is perhaps true for a few of them but most do it for the great income, many people do jobs for good money yet don’t like the job, it ain’t called work for nothing.

LexMitior · 21/05/2021 18:37

How shit would your life have to be to do this?

Also, the sums being earned don’t seem all that much; a thousand or two a month?

Also the old classic issue that prostitutes and strippers face - you can do it forever.

People are often “cool” about these things so long as their kids or nobody they love does it. But really, it’s good old fashioned pimping with all the hangers on, accountants, lawyers, etc,

Said someone that's never starved or been in the street.

I'm glad this thread has turned into a wider discussion about porn. But the snarky comments from some posters are truly awful. Can you not see outside your own bubble? Not everyone can afford your impeccable morals. In the words of Shakespeare "My poverty, but not my will consents".
