To expect Andy Burnham to stand up against anti semitism in Manchester?

A thread for those of us who expect Andy Burnham to speak out against the anti semitism in Manchester. Some Mancunian Jews are scared to leave their houses.

Sadiq Khan has already made a statement. Burnham seems more interested in football today.

Let's get emailing and tweeting him.

He's Labour, so no I would not expect him to have this very high on his priority list.

He mentions there are still councils that haven’t signed up to the IHRA definition of anti semitism and they will be named soon. I’m very interested to see which councils are on that list.

I've emailed my MP, sent an enquiry via the form to the mayor and emailed the mayor's office too.

Does anyone know if I can email Manchester police too? I can only find the reporting a crime links online.

I emailed her about her stance on abortion and got a snippy response. It took me ages to write as I wanted it to be level and calm.

I agree OP. There have been a significant number of Jewish people in parts of Manchester for over a century now.
