To expect Andy Burnham to stand up against anti semitism in Manchester?

A thread for those of us who expect Andy Burnham to speak out against the anti semitism in Manchester. Some Mancunian Jews are scared to leave their houses.

Sadiq Khan has already made a statement. Burnham seems more interested in football today.

I live in north manchester and heard about the ladies who were attacked at Bowker tram stop, no one said it was anti-semetic? The tram during the day is a flipping nightmare for drunks :(

Our MP made a statement but I was skeptical about his motives. Seemed like more of an anti protest push.

@EchoCardioGran Christian Wakefield, tbh I'm not keen on him as he usually spends more time trying to blame the labour council or mayor for issues caused by Tory policy, so may be being overly skeptical. Its good he's made a clear statement.

Christian Wakefield, does finger point at everyone else to try and score points. I don't think he does anything unless there is something in it for him, which sort of detracts from the statement.I was sorry that he won against Lucy Burke who knew her disability issues. Gah! What a pity.

I got a very general response from my MP, so pleased that I was engaged in issues (patronising twonk, I was campaigning before you were born). Nothing from anyone else.
