POsting here for traffic.
I have decent enough lashes but like a mascara that doesn't clump or smudge, that glides on easily, and gives length and volume without going spidery. I know, moon on a stick.
Anyone got anything that fits the bill?

Max Factor false lash in waterproof. I’ve spent an obscene amount on mascara and nothing else comes close.

I’ve tried lots and I keep coming back to maybelline lash sensational. I love it and the primer is great for applying under it for extra oomph
I liked benefit’s they’re real but it made my eyes really itchy.

Honestly, I've also spent a fortune on mascara from Estée Lauder to Maybelline & all prices in between.

Best one was about £3 from Wilkos!! Their own brand stuff is honestly brilliant. Doesn't clump & lengthens lashes.

I love the Essence false lash. It's cheap so worth a shot.

I had my lashes done a few months ago, it was expensive and I couldn't imagine paying that every few weeks.

The solution is to use a mascara primer underneath mascara, it really gives them volume, length and separation. I use a Maybelline Lash Sensational primer and Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.

Lancôme Hypnose. Make sure you get “the original”, not the ones called things like “drama” or “doll eyes”. You can get minis to experiment with others in the range - which are surprisingly different - but Hypnose was a game changer for me. When I run out (and wait for Xmas or my birthday to come round..) I’ll pick up a £10 mascara thinking it’ll be fine... and every time I kick myself!

Hourglass. Expensive but worth it. No ‘bits’ just very dark pigment and glides on. It doesn’t smudge even though not waterproof.

I did like the Primark ones in boxes, but it started to sting my eyes

I've recently discovered a Revolution one, also comes in a box and was a bit more expensive than the other revolution ones - £9

I just bought the new Maybelline ‘Tik Tok’ mascara - straight in the bin. Lashes looked better before applying.

I thought it was rubbish when I first got it too but it has really really grown on me - it's worth persevering with, it definitely good on better after you've used it a good few times

Maybelline is the brand I come back to time and again after years of trying so many expensive ones. I like lash sensational, sky high and falsies

Sorry @Pivotthesofa it’s “CAUTION extreme lash mascara”. They have a new version but didn’t like the sound of it - one of those ones that’s meant to encase each lash in a ‘tube’.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara! It’s perfect. Doesn’t irritate the eyes (I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts), doesn’t flake AT ALL, and makes it look like I have the thickest, blackest lashes!

The only downside for people might be that it’s not waterproof, but I personally hate waterproof mascaras. If I do need waterproof, I’ll just layer the Bobbi Brown Party mascara on top.

Sorry meant add- BB smokey eye doesn’t clump, flake or smudge even though it isn’t waterproof. Definitely gives insane volume but my lashes have never looked spidery.
