POsting here for traffic.
I have decent enough lashes but like a mascara that doesn't clump or smudge, that glides on easily, and gives length and volume without going spidery. I know, moon on a stick.
Anyone got anything that fits the bill?

I agree with @Thekormachameleon and @rainyskylight - L'Oreal Telescopic. I used to pay so much more for Lancome definicils, for no reason. This mascara is so much better.

I think it depends on what you want - eg daytime or for parties (they will happen again) and whether you have sensitive eyes.

I had a really expensive mascara from Terry and green gunge came out of my eyes so that was the end of using that one :(

Boots Stay Perfect is good because it "tubes" your lashes and you don't need heavy duty eye make-up remover; and currently I am using Blinc which is the original "tubing" mascara.

I'd recommend Zao refillable mascara with tweezerman eyelash curlers. So pleased with the result I'll be using both for my wedding day! I'm also using rapid lash every night and that's great too.

Bourjois volume reveal waterproof mascara. Tried some of the best rated expensive designer mascaras on the market, and this is the only one that doesn’t smudge. Everything about it is perfect. Plus an handy little magnifying mirror on the side of the tube.

I love Benefit Roller Lash, at least for my everyday make-up. It just gives a little more definition, separates well and doesn’t clump.

I'm like a PP in that I have extremely sensitive eyes and so have limited options when it comes to mascara. The Boots Stay Perfect is my go-to. I did try Hourglass and it's gorgeous but a waste of money for me, after a short I had to remove it because my eyes were so puffy and weepy.

Quite tempted to try the Blinc stuff next.

Just to add yet another one into the mix:

Clinique High Impact. Never clumps or goes spidery and seems to give thickness especially at the base of the lash where you want it.

I tried No 7 Stay Perfect recently and didn’t rate it at all.

NYX is a decent budget option.

I think perhaps we are all looking for different things from a mascara...

Lancome Definicils

This one for sure. I don't buy any other Lancôme products, but swear by this. Stays put too. (I have oily skin and everything else runs if not waterproof, which I hate using).

@BethTTC

Maybelline Falsies! Have tried them all, always come back to this.

This is my second favourite. Really good.

Yes to Stila Stay all Day eyeliner, it's the best I've used. A while ago a friend told me to try Marc Jacobs At Lash'd mascara, it is fantastic, will never use another!

Urban Decay's Perversion mascara fits the bill of what you're looking for!

Note Sculptmaster, i find it absolutely amazing, am a makeup artist so have tried A LOT of mascaras through the years. It has a silicone brush and is so easy to apply and separates each lash and coats them evenly, I've even been asked if I'm wearing false lashes with it on. And it's only about a tenner.

Tom Ford badass, but ridiculously expensive. Second favourite is Lancôme monsieur big Smile.

Came to write precisely the same thing! I only buy the Tom Ford when I've got a John Lewis voucher, the rest of the time it's Monsieur Big for me.

I'm so surprised at all the Maybelline lovers because every one I've tried has been clumpy or spidery.

Monsieur Big for me too! I do rate the Glossier one too though.

@LilacSorbet I know right?! Also to get a John Lewis voucher..... Haha. I think most people don't want to spend £40 on a mascara (which is likely why it's not been recommended more), but the monsieur one at £22.50 is great!

@theluckiest

Honestly, I've also spent a fortune on mascara from Estée Lauder to Maybelline & all prices in between.

Best one was about £3 from Wilkos!! Their own brand stuff is honestly brilliant. Doesn't clump & lengthens lashes.

I’ll second that! The one on the fancy case!

This will probably sound crazy but I have recently bought one from Aldi for about £3 and it's amazing! The one in a pink and green tube. My lashes have never looked so long and doesn't smudge at all. I recommend to everyone.

L'Oreal Beauty Tubes. Recommended to me on here about 5 years ago and I think I would cry if they stopped making it. Love it love it love it.

Maybelline SnapScara.

I have been wearing mascara for 40 years and discovered this a month ago. It is so much better than any other mascara I've ever tried (including the very expensive ones). It goes on like a dream, stays put all day and comes off with just warm water and a flannel. It never smudges and is swim-proof and cry-proof. It costs £6 and I just can't recommend it highly enough 😁
