POsting here for traffic.
I have decent enough lashes but like a mascara that doesn't clump or smudge, that glides on easily, and gives length and volume without going spidery. I know, moon on a stick.
Anyone got anything that fits the bill?

I've tried loads and always go back to maxfactor masterpiece max. Really good volume and length without looking like a spiders legs. I've used it for about 8 years now

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme is absolutely amazing. L’Oréal Miss Hippie is a very good copy.
Mascara is my thing. I wear mascara and eyeliner 24/7. I’ve tried most of them and at one point, I had about 25 Grin
I’m working my way through them all as I’m determined not to buy any make up or lotions and potions till I’ve used them all up. Plus, I’m skint Wink

Having spent ridiculous amount of money on mascara over the years I think I can say I’ve tried mostly every brand. The one I buy in bulk is Essence Lash Princess from Wilko (there’s three different versions) and are all great; at only around £3 it’s my holy grail for eyelash volume!

I have tried all of them from Chanel, and Yves st Laurent through to Barry M and Avon.
I keep coming back to Maybelline. Theirs are the only ones that do the job for me.

No mascara looks good on me. I now get strip lashes on Amazon Subscribe & Save every couple of weeks. I use them instead of mascara.

Maybelline Sky High and another vote for the Essence one from Wilko, I find the best one is the one in the green tube 😊

I always go back to Better Than Sex by Too Faced.
And the best eyeliner I've ever had was by Kat Von D.

I can recommend Nyx liquid eyeliner - glossy and no ‘drag’ on application. They have lots of fab colours if you’re feeling brave; I wear Sapphire’ a lot which is not aptly named, being bright blue and a purple one as well as normal black.

Fenty does bonkers colours but even I’m not brave enough to wear bright pink or neon green eyeliner anymore!

@Pivotthesofa
This is a great felt tip eyeliner which stays put; I don’t use liquid eyeliners though.
Prefer a pencil or felt tip. My go to colour is teal as it suits my eye colour.
Usually buy Avon Glimmersticks or Kiko Milano. Have had a great one from Aldi as well.

I've just got the Wilkos Essence in pink tube for £2.99. Been to the gym and a run, didn't budge. Great for the price!

The fact that the first 10 (minimum) responses are all different suggestions speaks volumes!

I too seek the holy grail of mascara but don't know where to begjn. This thread is no more of a solution than gazing at the selection in Boots....I had such high hopes when I saw the thread title Grin

I second Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara - it’s fabulous & recommended by the queen of makeup artists, Lisa Eldridge. I use the waterproof. And for eyeliner, Stila Stay All Day Waterproof - & I’ve tried LOADS!

It’s quite pricey but I very recently got Benefit They’re Real Magnetic mascara and it’s awesome. Only a couple of coats needed me it curls, lengthens and separates my eyelashes wonderfully.

See if you can get a sample at the Benefit counter in Boots, or buy from QVC so you can get your money back if it doesn’t work for you.
