She's 4 years old, for Christ's sake!!

What is it? I’m not a lover of random links with no description.

Mydogisagentleman · 06/05/2021 16:59

Me neither @PurpleDaisies

greeneyedlulu · 06/05/2021 17:00

A 4 year old trans girl to boy!! Wow! I'm all for trans rights etc but at such a young age I wouldn't be labelling this or going public because of what may happen in the future, he may feel differently.

eatsleepread · 06/05/2021 17:09

Absolutely bonkers. No wonder we have so many unhappy and anxious children out there. We're going along with ridiculous notions that they'd probably grow out of anyway. Too much emphasis on the body, and not enough on the mind.
World's gone mad!

tinkyywinky · 06/05/2021 17:13

@PurpleDaisies oops , sorry! It's a father who's letting his 4 year old female child live as a transgender boy

VettiyaIruken · 06/05/2021 17:15

It is ridiculous.
In years to come there will be so much outrage and many lawsuits by children who were victims of this lunacy.

RunningFromInsanity · 06/05/2021 17:18

His reasoning is that she didn’t like pigtails and pink dresses.
Someone needs to tell him that there isn’t a mandatory dress code for little girls.

isseys4xmastinselcats · 06/05/2021 17:24

my daughter at 5 said im not wearing that its a dress biggest tomboy going till she was ten now shes the girliest person i know trans didnt even exist as a concept 40 years ago

PurpleDaisies · 06/05/2021 17:24

Bloody hell that’s depressing,

OneCalamerra · 06/05/2021 17:37

My 4 year old is a trans dinosaur. I am very proud. He is so brave and stunning. I am fully supportive of him living as a dinosaur to live his authentic true life.

DearTeddyRobinson · 06/05/2021 17:46

My stunning and brave DC1 lived as a puppy for several months when he was 3. I drew the line at giving him dinner on the floor though. I guess I'm just a bigot?

Disabrie22 · 06/05/2021 17:50

I think what would really help parents is just the understanding that a four year old can choose their own identity without a need to stress or label it. I frequently have four year olds telling me they are Spider-Man or Princess Aurora - trying to label identify at age is not ideal. Why didn’t he just let the child go with it rather than labelling it at four?

Wandawomble · 06/05/2021 18:04

I think telling a child they have been born in the wrong body is awful - regressive stereotypes adhered to by so many kids in society - influenced by the media. The BBC and Guardian can’t get enough of pushing this ideology at us. It’s not surprising is it that children everywhere are now saying they are trans. In this case it’s the parents who are enabling it - and they are being applauded by people so desperate to appear open minded that their brains have fallen out. This is a safeguarding issue. That poor child.

And when JK Rowling warned us of the rapid increase in children saying they were trans she got death, rape, cancellation threats and threats to burn her books.

A public scandal indeed is breaking and no one can say they didn’t know.

Tossblanket · 06/05/2021 18:09

Well that's what this fucking ridiculous society has created.

Reap what you sow.

QuestionableMouse · 06/05/2021 18:11

When I was growing up, that was called a tomboy and no one made a big deal about it. Poor kid.

Grin

At the same age my son had a very varied list of what he was, including a girl. And a knight. And a fireman. And so on and so forth. The parents should be ashamed of themselves.

WhoWants2Know · 06/05/2021 18:19

Beyond allowing it to happen, why publicise the story?

Wandawomble · 06/05/2021 18:22

Publicising the story for attention, money, BBC show about them, live coverage of the medical procedures... the possibilities are endless

DDiva · 06/05/2021 19:36

I find it much more narrow minded to assume any girl who dosnt eant to wear dresses is actually a boy rather than just let them dress how they want and discover their own identity in their own time......

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 06/05/2021 19:40

When I was a child I was adamant I was a boy , I wore boys clothes , changed my name to a boys one, basically wouldn't acknowledge I was a girl .. fast forward to puberty and I blossomed a very curvaceous size 6 body with big boobs and I loved the attention it got me .. I very much became a girly girl .. I was of course a tomboy but if anyone had asked me if I wanted to change to be a boy I would have said yet .. scary stuff. !

stressfuljune · 06/05/2021 19:59

Wrong on every level. It's just a girl who has no desire to be pushed into stereotypical girls clothes & toys. A non girly girl. There's millions of them. The poor kid is going to end up totally mixed up.
She is a girl and should she allowed s to grow up free from this rubbish her parents are imposing on her.

stressfuljune · 06/05/2021 20:02

I don't even like the word tomboy. If implies you aren't a proper girl.
I was always labelled a Tom boy but I mainly hated having to wear skirts to school & not being allowed to join Cubs / play football etc - all stuff that has since changed.
I just wanted to be a girl with all options open to me.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/05/2021 20:03

When he was 4, y now-16 year old wanted, with all his being, to be a pelican. The world has gone mad.

Google Jazz Jennings. Jazz was a little boy who apparently wanted to be a girl at the age of 2. Jazz's crazy stage mum saw a cash cow and ran with it. First TV appearance at 4 years old followed by cross sex hormones and more chat show appearances which eventually turned into a 6-season TV series. (Recently cancelled I believe).

Jazz is now 20, with a binge eating disorder, believed to have never experienced an orgasm or a real romantic relationship, no job, too depressed to go to university and has at least 4 genital surgeries under their belt - that we know of - because their "gender affirmation surgery" went so badly wrong.

I always advise everyone to watch this clip, where the surgeons argue over what to cut in the operating theatre:

One of Jazz’s surgeons - the one that jokes about taking so many photos of their teenage patient’s “vagina” they could be a porn star - is also a trans woman.

FunnyWonder · 06/05/2021 20:27

Just to let you know, OP, there's a thread about this in Feminism Chat too.
