Or are they mostly still in sleep suits?

We started using pyjamas at 3 months, but kept a few sleepsuits as a backup.

Once he started crawling and fidgeting more (about 9 months) the legs of his sleepsuits would get all floppy/twisted/angled so we stopped using them earlier than we expected to.

I got PJ’s for mine quite early as easier than all them blooming poppers in the middle of the night

@4amWitchingHour So leggings and vests here since 5ish months. He's totally comfy though, no need to feel sorry for him. I wouldn’t feel sorry for a baby in leggings in a vest. It’s full on outfits like jeans or dresses that ride up and and are bumpy when lying down.

My Dd was very long and thin as a baby, so the sleepsuits with feet in didn’t really work for her. It was either footless all-in-ones (which I could hardly ever find) or separate pyjamas. So I did, but only for this reason.

My baby wore pjs at that age occasionally. I thought they were super cute, probably because they're a novelty.

@firstimemamma

My nearly 3 year old is still in sleepsuits Grin
Yep, I had mine in babygros when they were 2+ but didn't know anyone else whose children were!

I bit the bullet when I had to start cutting the feet off the end of the sleepsuits as they couldn't walk in them...

Don't buy Pj's for that age, I was bought Pj's for 1 year old and they were never used then ...sleepsuits till they grew out of the latest standard size, far cosier! Buy a nice day outfit instead!

I think you also have to be mindful of the seasons as PJs might be more suited for the summer months as baby will be cooler with feet open.

We only ever buy pyjamas for my 5 month old DD as she is long limbed and her feet are scrunched up in baby grows. I only tried her in PJs after getting some as a gift and never went back to babygrows. Plus I love seeing her tiny little toes when we take her socks off for bed.
