I've not looked for ages, because I was SO CROSS with the driver who gave me a low rating when he wanted to make inane conversation and I wanted to sit with my eyes shut.

It was the day before I gave birth and I was knackered!

(Yes I know I shouldn't have cared, that day in particular)

I'm 4.6, it is because many times I make a journey that is more direct via an A road, however the driver always wants to go on motorway which is longer (both routes are roughly the same time).

When I insist on the A road route the often don't like it.

I think it is a bit of a joke for the driver to give less than a 5 unless the passenger is rude or aggressive.

I never realised this was a thing, and I’ve used Uber for yonks! So I’ve just checked the app and I’m 4.9 which has made me happy 😊

Yes you get to rate the driver too.

I am actually for the rating. Customers can be unbelievable pieces of arrogant shit. Normally behaved people will be fine. Afaik if your score is below x you don't get to book rides anymore. Good.

I was wondering that, I have had a number of drivers seem pretty unhappy when I told them to take a specific route, and I only dropped to 4.6.

4.2 must have an interesting story behind it!!

They can rate you for things like banging the doors too hard, keeping them waiting unnecessarily, being drunk and behaving badly.. carrying items in the car that are smelly/dirty etc.

Mine is a 4.81- pretty sure it dropped that low bcos I wasn’t tipping as much as they wanted to. Usually it’s between 10-15% but I suspect some want more.

I read that they give low ratings for:
-Not tipping or not tipping enough
-Slamming the door
-Not being specific enough about the location
-Making them pick you up on a busy road where it is difficult to stop
-Loud customers

I have a very loud friend in my friendship group and nobody wants to book the uber with their account when she is with us. You can feel your Uber rating going down with every sentence she speaks 😂
