Is there another whole day of special programmes and mournful music?

Hopefully not but I suspect so.

Didn’t intend to enable voting

It's ridiculous!

peak2021 · 10/04/2021 08:20

Other tv channels are available. Googlebox was on one last night, I watched some of the women's football match between France and England.

Sadly I am sure the Grand National will be on tv this afternoon.

Toottootdrivers · 10/04/2021 08:21

That was an accidental YABU vote. YANBU

Nitgel · 10/04/2021 08:23

Hope not. Its not great for the elderly who only have terrestrial channels. There us only so much they can broadcast.

SueSaid · 10/04/2021 08:23

You'd think it was 30 years ago and we only had 4 channels. Don't you have Sky or Netflix? BBC is never any good usually tbh.

PurBal · 10/04/2021 08:24

I believe it's day after the funeral. Yesterday is D-day. Today is D+1. All being well the funeral should be on D+7. So next Saturday. Depends on how closely they follow the plan given COVID-19.

lljkk · 10/04/2021 08:25

R6 has started playing music with lyrics in it again. Slowly slowly...

Arbadacarba · 10/04/2021 08:28

The Grand National is going ahead - there will be a two minutes' silence for Prince Philip (he was an honorary member of the Jockey Club).

Absolute 80s reinstated adverts just after midnight last night but it doesn't sound like the network is running its normal breakfast show (no loss to me at all!)

HeartsAndClubs · 10/04/2021 08:30

Looking at the schedule it looks back to normal

Norwaydidnthappen · 10/04/2021 08:30

I’m glad I don’t watch live TV anymore so can skip this, will avoid R4 for the foreseeable too. They did this for weeks when the Queen’s Mother died and it was as much of a drag then as it is now except times have changed now so the majority don’t want this broadcast 24/7.

mynameiscalypso · 10/04/2021 08:32

They have, thankfully, removed the black banner from CBeebies this morning.

hopeishere · 10/04/2021 08:33

I guess that's the joy of Netflix etc. Far more choice!!

Arbadacarba · 10/04/2021 08:34

The gun salutes will be televised this afternoon according to the BBC.

Ot isn’t though. Just heard Angela Scanlon on Radio 2 refer to a weekend of special programmes.

We are self isolating here and the somber music:TV is doing my fucking head in.

GoWalkabout · 10/04/2021 08:46

Went for a walk around our small town park last night and they had roped off a large area for tributes. I've never seen tributes laid in our park before. RIP

LovingBob · 10/04/2021 08:49

I'm sure all the sport will go ahead as normal.

Nith · 10/04/2021 08:58

I usually have Classic FM on when WFH. I must say, I rather enjoyed it yesterday when there were no adverts and the very briefest of announcements between pieces of music.

Shoxfordian · 10/04/2021 09:01

Watch Netflix or sky or read a book

It was just a QUESTION! I’m quite capable of thinking of alternatives!

Spoke too soon - Absolute did a 'show must go on' disclaimer & then went to the usual Frank Skinner inanity, so I'm switching to Planet Rock!

Iamthewombat · 10/04/2021 09:25

Tell me that this is a joke and that little kids have not been co-opted into royal grief nonsense.

What’s it going to be like when QE2 pops her clogs?
