Anyone else not seeing friends until they've had a haircut?

I know there are bigger issues but we're still allowed to miss personal grooming.

The rules were slightly eased yesterday but I don't feel like seeing anyone until i can at least get my hair and eyebrows done.
Majority of people seem to look fine even though we've had no salon access for nearly 4 months, but my hair has been growing into a short bob and looks more like a mullet, eyebrows are a state as I can't do my own well.
Been running but haven't been to the gym in 4 months either so just feel flabby.

Honestly don't want to see anyone until after the 12th, anyone else feel like this?

If I thought my friends would judge me by the state of my eyebrows, I'd find different friends. Like, actual friends.

CovergirlPutthebassinyourwalk · 30/03/2021 17:06

I know they won't judge me, I just don't feel confident in myself to go out socialising until I am better groomed.

No because I've seen my friends throughout? For walks, on zoom etc

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 30/03/2021 17:07

Genuinely no, I don’t feel like that at all.

Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait for a hair cut and colour but it wouldn’t cross my mind to not see friends until I’d been.

imaginethemdragons · 30/03/2021 17:07

Nope.
Not at all.
People have been dying before my eyes for a year.
Couldn’t give a shiny shite what my loved ones eye brows and hair looks like, I just need to see and hug them.

Anoisagusaris · 30/03/2021 17:08

I’d love to get my eyebrows done (hair isn’t too bad) but not a chance would I give up the chance to see friends with them as they are. I’ve seen people outdoors and in the local shops and they haven’t shunned me because of my eyebrows!

JosephineBaker · 30/03/2021 17:08

Hell no - I've missed them! I love them, I don't care what they look like and I hope they feel the same about me.

HilaryBriss · 30/03/2021 17:09

No. Of course I am desperate for a haircut (I have never had my eyebrows 'done') but wouldn't not see anyone just because of that. Everyone is in the same boat.

RagzReturnsRebooted · 30/03/2021 17:10

No, but I'm a scruffy cow even when I make an effort and I've just been cutting my own hair lol. My friends laugh with me... Probably.

funnylittlefloozie · 30/03/2021 17:11

No. I'm seeing my friends on Sunday for drinks in the garden. We all need haircuts, colours, manicures, eyebrow shaping... but it doesn't matter because we are just dying to see each other again and do something as normal as drinking in the garden! Even if we look like troggs!

beginningoftheend · 30/03/2021 17:12

No, I don't feel worried about that at all, I look unremarkable and no one will care anyway.

I cut my own hair a couple of weeks ago but as it is wavy I can't really tell if it is wonky Grin

GooodMythicalMorning · 30/03/2021 17:13

My hair hasnt been cut since before lockdown 1. I just tie it up. I hope my friends wouldn't care too much.

doodleygirl · 30/03/2021 17:13

No, I don’t care, just want to see them

beginningoftheend · 30/03/2021 17:13

I think it would be great if generally the world embraced a lower standard of grooming - it is a major consumer of women's time and money.

leiaskye · 30/03/2021 17:14

No, not going to hair dressers til the 1st may, not had it cut since Oct. nit sure my friends would even notice, they certainly wouldn’t care.

As for your eyebrows, do you have any tweezers? Takes 5 minutes.

PinkBuffalo · 30/03/2021 17:15

@JosephineBaker

Hell no - I've missed them! I love them, I don't care what they look like and I hope they feel the same about me.
Same! I genuinely would love to see my friends. I not getting my haircut until 20th April and it driving me mad cos I have short hair. But I still meeting people this weekend and next weekend
wingsnthat · 30/03/2021 17:17

Haha I feel like this! I have a job interview coming up and sort of want to postpone it until after my hair appointment! But that would delay it by 2 weeks so I don’t have the option.

My friends have unfortunately already witnessed my dreadful roots so I don’t mind seeing them

seensome · 30/03/2021 17:17

yabu a bit, majority of people are the same, messy hair and weight gain.

thevicarstroketwice · 30/03/2021 17:19

no...

you can at least tidy your own eyebrows
and wear a hat, a headband..

life is too short to miss out on friends and holidays!

wingsnthat · 30/03/2021 17:21

I don’t mean this in a nasty way, but the weather is around 20 degrees today and lots of people were wearing summer clothes. I have seen a lot more “imperfect” bodies today in bodycon dresses and crop tops, I think you just have to say “fuck it” and live your life regardless of what you look like after the year we’ve had

WhereDidYouGetThatHat · 30/03/2021 17:22

No, I've been seeing my friends throughout for walks and zoom calls anyway. I'm sad to hear you feel that way and that presumably you haven't socialised for several months? That sounds a shame.

Hankunamatata · 30/03/2021 17:30

Nope cos my friends are fab and dont care

LubaLuca · 30/03/2021 17:33

I've been going to work every day, have bumped into friends in town, have been on hundreds of Zoom calls... So no, I genuinely don't care about anyone seeing my hair and face as they are.

Confusedandshaken · 30/03/2021 17:36

No! i saw 5 friends for an outdoor lunch yesterday. I had a blast and I don't think anyone noticed my grey roots. I certainly didn't notice theirs.
