To hate Bing bunny?

My daughter loves him but I can't stand him. He drives me round the bend.
He's so naughty, whiny and spiteful and never gets disciplined for his actions.
Just watched an episode where he was hit by Pando on the swing and I was glad (lighthearted obviously).
Am I the only person who dislikes the little sh*t!

I'm sad my youngest DGC is at school now. No

Excuse to watch Hey Duggee and Ben and Holly

@Maves

Bing was a legend when he tea leafed the lollipop.
Omfg that was the first episode I ever saw. We switched it on the day I went back after maternity leave. It was also the day we realised Happy is adopted. So from thieving to adoption in the space of five minutes! It was a heavy morning!!

Bing, is a whiny little shit!! Luckily my DS is Hey Duggee obsessed!!! Bing doesn’t stay on for long...although I did discover Mark Rylance is flop...he’s such a good actor..why!!!

Justgorgeous · 07/04/2021 17:30

Gosh. I really disliked it. I found it depressing to watch.

BeautifulBirds · 07/04/2021 17:36

Don't have it on here. Hate it, hate what it enforces: moan enough and you get your own way. Needs shooting!!

A few years ago there was a thread just like this (Bing's been hated for ages) and the writer himself came on. He talked about the swing episode. IIRC he said he identified with Flop having to be diplomatic when one kid (or the parent) was bad at making their kid take turns.

He also said, interestingly, that between his written story and what we end up seeing on screen there are many other people with ideas of their own.

Bing is little shit though Grin

WoolieLiberal · 07/04/2021 20:20

I think Bing must have a backstory.

My take is that Bing is a foster child and Flop is the carer.

Bing has had early traumas/neglect that leads him to behave badly, but like all situations of this kind, Flop has been trained by social services not to use traditional discipline but to talk to Bing gently.

I wonder whether Bing will end up in a Pupil Referral Unit the way he’s going though...

I fucking hate him. Peter rabbit is also banned in my house for the consistent stream of panic.

Peter Rabbit does my head in...why does he constantly look for trouble then become the hero for saving everyone from the trouble he created 😂😂

Supergirl1958 yes!

Even my then 5 year old was watching it one day and said 'why don't they find their own food instead of keep on stealing from Mr.M?!'

Well, yeah!

And - while we're here - they escape nearly every situation by going down hill at 100mph for ages in some contraption or other and still always end up right back near their house Confused
