My daughter loves him but I can't stand him. He drives me round the bend.
He's so naughty, whiny and spiteful and never gets disciplined for his actions.
Just watched an episode where he was hit by Pando on the swing and I was glad (lighthearted obviously).
Am I the only person who dislikes the little sh*t!

@CroutonsAvatar Oh she was definitely ready to drop her knickers! She looks like she would eat poor Duggee alive!

WilheminaVenable · 21/03/2021 18:50

My least favourite is coco. I think the voice of coco is the actress who plays Topsy as in topsy and Tim.

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 21/03/2021 19:29

I loathe Bing with a passion - whiny little git. So pleased my DCs only briefly wanted to watch that.

5 year old came home from school this week adamant we had to watch Dog loves Books because it's been on at school, it's very strange! Both kids love it though, I'm not convinced.

Bloody love Hey Duggee though. Toddler is completely obsessed and I am encouraging it unashamedly. Roly is my spirit animal, both my kids now yell "BIRDS!" every time they see birds and it always makes me smile

hermionieweasley · 21/03/2021 19:34

Why is Bings's dad an actual sack? A sack?!

ShesMadeATwatOfMePam · 21/03/2021 20:34

I think the thing about pando is that he doesn't behave any worse than bing. But for some reason, you're supposed to feel sorry for bing and like he's in the right.

But in one episode, bing is calling pando something like pando bango. Then when pando does it back, suddenly that is not ok.

It annoys me when he hits sula and she's made to say sorry to him.

supersonicginandtonic · 21/03/2021 20:53

@ShesMadeATwatOfMePam when Pando calls him Bingly Bangly? I love that Pando pisses him off and winds him up.

I also love the episode where the cat gets him 😂

@BrumBoo

I've had a big gap between my grandchildren, and Waffle dog is a new one to me. Please can someone explain who is who in that family? We've got the dad who married the woman, but whose child is whose and where's their missing parents? I'm confused! Thanks.

The son is the dad's, I think he lives 50/50 between the houses? I think his actual mum has been shown at some point in the programme. The daughter is the mum's but nothing to suggest her dad is around at all, maybe he's dead or in prison but no one will mention it unless they sing an special overly-happy song about it I'm sure. Nothing actually bad happens in Waffle-World, and all negative feelings can be laughed/danced/sang off as everyone else's problem....

Thank you, wasn't sure who was what there! Where's the boy's mum tho? I've never seen her.

I’m just going to add that I find Moon and Me terrifying. It gives me the creeps.

Vursayles · 22/03/2021 18:29

Ah no Moon and Me is restful bliss! It gives me the sort of effect I imagine a chilled LSD trip would induce, not that I would know.

Collywobble is the stuff of horror movie nightmares, but the rest of them are sweeeeet.

imalmostthere · 22/03/2021 18:30

I often fantasise about him being made into a stew

KimchiLaLa · 22/03/2021 18:31

I used to like him but quickly realised he is a whiny brat.

andyindurham · 22/03/2021 18:45

Bing - banned. Horrible, whiny, language-mangling little scrote. And the reason why I've introduced rabbit pie to the family repertoire.

Peppa - definitely worse. Not just because of the show (which is pretty vile) but because of the endless tacky plastic crap that gets sold alongside. We inherited some of this from my niece and then got given more by well-meaning but toddler-free friends and neighbours. Not only is it absurdly overpriced, it doesn't actually deliver the basics that toys should. You have model figures with pointless spindly legs that won't support their bodies. You have a toy car with models that are welded in, rather than removable. You have a train without built-in models, but sized so that the small Pigs rattle around and won't stay put, whereas the larger Pigs won't fit. And it squeaks. Badly made, badly designed, environmentally unfriendly, overpriced shite. If I had even basic animation skills I'd be working on 'Peppa Pig and the bacon sandwich' as the trauma-inducing series finale that involves andyindurham, Peppa, a meat cleaver and a bottle of HP sauce.

And .... breathe ...

On the plus side, huge vote in support of Catie's / Grace's Amazing Machines. Cool techy, gadgety stuff presented in a way that isn't gender-oriented. DD likes it, I like it, and there's usually a nice mix of far-out stuff that we don't see in real life, plus something that we might encounter if we were ever allowed out of the house. I'm a big fan.

TrialOfStyle · 22/03/2021 18:48

Ugh, DS wanted to watch Bing today and I hate everything about him, right down to his stupid little dungarees.

I kind of get the point about teaching kids about why we don’t do certain things but ugh, hate him. Give me Bluey every day.

CroutonsAvatar · 22/03/2021 19:29

@Vursayles this is why I don’t do drugs. 😂

kierenthecommunity · 22/03/2021 19:52

I too used to loathe Bing. Waffle, I only remember the song 🎶 wah-ful dogg-ay! 🎶 but luckily that started as my DS was growing out of CBeebies. My worst one, whose name I’ve erased from my memory as it was so traumatic was some weird creatures in a band or something. Think they were on an island. Used to creep me out. And I couldn’t bare Topsy and Tim with the parents proclaiming deep admiration at the kids every utterance or action

However all of the above is BAFTA winning stuff compared to the crap DS watches now aged 8. Mainly involving Minecraft and/or bellowing Americans on YouTube

kierenthecommunity · 22/03/2021 19:53

Zingzillas. They were the creepy lot

postcardfromme · 22/03/2021 19:55

I've had such a shit day at work and this post has cheered me right up!!!
Bing is a little psychopath!!!

WetJan · 22/03/2021 19:58

Oh my god!!! Why are NONE of you complaining about Sula??? Sanctimonious little witch. Argh. DD is obsessed with Bloody Bing and I can't stand it.

On Wafffle.... if your dog is so woefully untrained, and you are a vetinary nurse.. why the hell do you use five metres of red ribbon as a lead? Hmm

RandomUsernameHere · 22/03/2021 19:58

YANBU it's the most annoying character ever, I used to hate it when my DC watched that program!!!

Rosieposie79 · 22/03/2021 20:02

I can't stand the episode where he refuses to eat food that is mixed together. My daughter came home from preschool suddenly not wanting to eat 'mixed together' food - I personally blame Bing for this.

SydneyCarton · 22/03/2021 20:06

I also can’t stand Bing but I watch it purely for Flop’s mid century modern aesthetic and cool Joseph and Joseph-esque homewares Grin. Also he is Mark Rylance which tickles me no end.

Fortunately kids have no interest in Waffle, but DS and I absolutely love Duggee. DS (2.5) is a complete Roly 🤣

Yes yes yes on the peppa toys!

We have desperate tears on a regular basis about the fact that daddy pig won't fit in the sodding plane.

Once again, fat shaming ol daddy pig. Bloody peppa.

HeeeeeyBogie · 23/03/2021 07:49

We got some Peppa Pig wellies at Boots last winter. The fucking things were only worn to nursery twice a week, and now they've got huge rips in the ankles!
Even the cheap as chips ones have lasted better. I don't know how they get away with it.

LittleMG · 23/03/2021 08:11

@brokengate

Cannot stand the little asshole. Refuse to have it on, luckily Dd went for peppa instead so I was saved. The whining is something else.
Hahaha he is such a little arsehole!!!!Grin I’m watching it now the little bastard just fucked up the kitchen while Flop is laying on the sofa ill!
MonkeyPuddle · 23/03/2021 08:37

Lucky DS has never been really into Bing so it’s not on at our house. If Waffle comes on he turns to me to tell me ‘I don’t like Waffle’ and we turn the furry fuck off.

We are a Andy’s dinosaur Adventures household. Fuck me, I’ve seen every episode of every Andy spin off a million times. If we see a clock we have to jump towards it and go back in time. Get a fucking haircut Andy. How, how are you able to hold down an important job at the National Museum when you’re an utter splat of a man? And your displays are shit, there’s no way they’d have such breakable displays out for kids to touch you melt.
