To ask if crooked teeth make a person unattractive

A friend and I were talking and I said about a man we work with being good looking. She said oh he would be if his teeth were straight. Aibu to think people are still be good looking with teeth that aren’t straight

No it's not. I can't get a nhs brace for Ds2 because he doesn't meet the criteria apparently. Apart from the fact that his teeth are overcrowded and have crossed over at the front.

I rather have clean natural teeth than the glow in the dark blue-white knashers that Rylan has. (I've heard that if they are too white they make the whites of your eyes look jaundiced ).
I'm the owner of a full set of natural teeth with no fillings and I'm over 50. The top set have a gap in the middle and the bottom set are crowded.

If his teeth don't bite together properly and/or overcrowding makes it too difficult to brush between them then he ought to be eligible - get a second opinion if necessary. Some NHS Trusts will try anything to get out of paying but if you persist then you should get it free.

I think all teeth are attractive if they are healthy.
I have crooked teeth and an over jet and thigh over the years I’ve hated it, loads of people have told me they actually really like it.
I know loads of people who’ve had braces and they look weird after- like they’ve got false teeth almost

I don't like odd looking teeth . Having said that my dh had poor teeth when we got married but he has had his corrected since. He wishes he had done it years earlier and he was very self conscious about them.. they were very very gappy though.

It really depends on the teeth. There's a girl at my work who I think is really attractive until she smiles. Her teeth are really horrendous.

Whereas my DH's slightly crooked teeth don't bother me at all.

Havelock, thank you I will try. But unfortunately I don't know how bad it needs to be to qualify. I've looked at the IOTN. But without pictures, it's hard to see/understand for someone non dental, what qualifies and what doesn't. How bad does it need to be to qualify as grade 3, 4, 5?

I might ask for pictures.

Mine are crooked but not bad condition, never had an issue and I've had bad break ups and its never been mentioned as a negative said to me lol

Seriously wonky and not cleaned properly - ugh. Slightly wonky and good hygiene is fine. Super white denture like veneers - ugh.

Seriously wonky teeth can be hard to clean, mine took 6 different interdental brushes to do properly + floss and normal brush. I got train tracks in the summer, bog standard metal ones because mask wearing and no big events anyway so saved 3k over white ones. I won't be fixing the tiny chip nor whitening them to the point of looking like dentures because threats not an aesthetic I like.
