I am running out of shows to watch. I like psychological thrillers and documentaries.

Orange is the new black is great if you haven’t already watched it. Also love the crown.

The hotel Cecil documentary is interesting

Tagagzjskva · 10/03/2021 06:18

Queens gambit was great
Just finished Ginny and Georgia
Ozark was good too can’t remember if it was prime or Netflix
I’ve started the bridge on BBC iPlayer 😂 very bored over here
I’m also on - off modern family to fill the void, it’s surprisingly watchable (with some skipping)

Tagagzjskva · 10/03/2021 06:19

The fall too, if you haven’t already watched it

JumpLeadsForTwo · 10/03/2021 06:25

Dark is fab. As is the queen's gambit, and more recently the haunting of hill house.

GreenlandTheMovie · 10/03/2021 06:36

The Rain - Danish dystopian thriller. I now find myself with an urge to croak "Rasmus!" in a Danish accent.

Not Netflix, but I was terribly disappointed in The Terror (BBC IPlayer). The set is terrible and limited (it was filmed on a Croatian island in summer) and its got a lot of the over-acting and clichés that seem the norm in BBC dramas now. Bonus points for actually having Inuit actors in some roles, who are the most watchable part of it.

Snowpiercer. Because obviously when armageddon via an ice age comes the last remnants of society will survive on a massive train built by Sean Bean. Dh and I enjoy trashing the total implausible nonsense that it is, but there we are, every week, waiting excitedly for the next episode to be released.

MargotMoon · 10/03/2021 06:58

The Fall

MaxNormal · 10/03/2021 07:06

If you like gang/crime stuff as well then Top Boy (UK) and Suburra (Italy) are both superb and I'm personally about to start Money Heist (Spain).
Haunting of Hill House is proper scary.

jfrbokok · 10/03/2021 07:09

Flavourful origins. - beautifully filmed series on Chinese regional cookery.

SwedishK · 10/03/2021 07:25

I'll second Quicksand. Really good.

As far as crime documentaries, I liked Evil Genius, Night Stalker and Murder Among the Mormons.

Alfiemoon1 · 10/03/2021 07:29

I don’t usually watch much tv but have just finished watch once upon a time on Netflix we all loved it

Thisismynewname123 · 10/03/2021 07:35

Queens Gambit is brilliant. Always looking for something really good, and they're very hard to come by. Most series are just ok, and pass the time.

Iamblossom · 10/03/2021 07:36

Have watched The Fall twice it's so good.
Enjoyed Dead To me, Behind Her Eyes, Queens Gambit, The Crown, Unbelievable, FireFly Lane, Marcella...

I have just binged Your Honour on Sky OMG amazing, can't stop thinking about it. And also both Seasons of Discovery of Witches, also Sky.

I am now working my way through The Serpent on iPlayer and each episode of Unforgotten on ITV Hub (when they don't bump it for some royal interview Hmm)

If you have Prime, This is Us and The Handmaid's Tale are a must!!

TrinidadQueen · 10/03/2021 13:37

Going to go for Ginny and Georgia next I think.
Lots of great recommendations, thank you Smile

Ginny and Georgia, I love it!! So addictive! And behind her eyes blew my mind! The twist was something else!

hollyandkit · 10/03/2021 13:57

Don't watch Nightstalker unless you have a strong stomach and several padlocks on your windows! I'd heard about the case before but had no idea how prolific and sadistic it was. Not one to watch just before you go to bed put it that way.

TrinidadQueen · 10/03/2021 15:26

Watched the night stalker, loved it but agree, a very frightening watch. Definitely not one to watch before bed.

I just finished Call my Agent.
I’m in the middle of Pretend it’s a City which I am loving. Fran Lebowitz talking about New York. That’s it and it’s great.

woopdedoodle · 10/03/2021 15:41

Another vote for Call my agent.

And the Japanese show, Midnight Diner, for the theme tune, the weird night dwellers of Tokyo, and cooking tips.

How to sell drugs on the Internet, German and funny , which was surprising.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 10/03/2021 15:49

We've just watched Giri/Haji, which was excellent. It's a crime drama set between Tokyo and London, so some subtitles but the majority not. Brilliant characters.

I liked Behind her Eyes but wasn't keen on the ending.

IveMadeAHugeMistake · 10/03/2021 15:59

Erm, Zoo. It falls squarely into the so-bad-it's-good category. It's about a mutation that causes animals to develop abilities and turn against humans.

Brilliantly cheesy and plot holes galore.

This is the article that sold me: vodzilla.co/reviews/10-reasons-you-should-be-binge-watching-zoo-on-netflix/

The Serpent - good - intriguing that someone can so callously kill

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 10/03/2021 16:28

The Fall. Brilliant.

itsasin77 · 10/03/2021 16:28

We are loving Ozark with Jason Bateman in, this is one we are both into.

For myself I’m now 4th episode into Behind Her eyes, bizarre but so gripping.

Also Lupin, really good!!
