Yes my parents, sister and close friend have all had it. Parents felt very tried for a couple of days, sister no side effects, friend said she felt like she had been hit by a bus!

Name99 · 25/02/2021 12:58

Yeah I feel shocking, thought I'd feel rough but didnt expect the fever and shivering.
Paracetamol is helping.
Thanks

Some of my friends and family have felt a bit 'fluey' for 48 hours, others just an arm ache, I had no side effects at all.

feeona123 · 25/02/2021 13:06

Yes my husband was poorly for two days - fever and chills

TheRedBalloon · 25/02/2021 13:06

I had the Pfizer jab yesterday, all fine although my arm was slightly achey last night.
Mum had the Oxford one and she was poorly for about 4 days, she said it felt like flu.

Loads more here "Had your jab? Care to compare side effects?" www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/4172784-Had-your-jab-Care-to-compare-side-effects

I also had the Oxford jab yesterday, I felt absolutely fine yesterday but woke up this morning with one of the worst migraines I’ve ever had, I have no energy and a temperature. Hoping it’ll ease up by this evening

Ismellphantoms · 25/02/2021 13:19

Temperature and felt like I'd been run over by a bus the next day. The day after I slept most of the time. Better than having Covid though

fiftiesmum · 25/02/2021 13:21

The leaflets given out say to expect pain in arm or sometimes flu like symptoms post vaccination - these effects are hardly surprising sticking a needle into a muscle or training the body to make antibodies.

Kollin · 25/02/2021 13:23

I know three couples, all three blokes had the Pfizer and all three women had the Astra Zeneca (purely by chance)
2 out of the 3 men only had slight headaches and tiredness, 3rd reckons he's no illness symptoms at all.
1 woman had severe sickness for multiple days, 1 woman has had a stiff/sore arm as her only symptom and 1 had tiredness/headaches.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 25/02/2021 13:24

Yeah. Had AZ and it was kicking my arse for few days.

allsayingthesamething · 25/02/2021 13:27

I was determined not to have any side effects but had to admit eventually that it did feel like having flu for two days. Walking around felt like climbing a mountain. But very short lived.

HOkieCOkie · 25/02/2021 13:29

I had Oxford and I was up most of the night with flu like chills and I felt pretty ill the next day.

Purplewithred · 25/02/2021 13:29

Yup. Had fever and crap ness for about half a day after having the jab.

But also tested positive 2 days later, despite being asymptomatic both before and after the jab side-effects.

Toomanykidsandcats · 25/02/2021 13:32

I had the oxford yesterday morning. Very sore arm and keep getting cold, shivery feelings, like flu type shivers. Paracetamol does get rid of it though.

whataballbag · 25/02/2021 13:32

I had Oxford Tuesday. Felt rough as hell yesterday. Fine today so far

MatildaTheCat · 25/02/2021 13:34

Oxford AZ: me very slight tender arm, DH nothing at all.

CharlotteRose90 · 25/02/2021 13:39

I had the Oxford one 10 days ago and I’m still ill now. Fingers crossed it goes soon.

EachBleachBlairTrump · 25/02/2021 13:40

I had Oxford yesterday, woke up feeling like I've been run over. My jab arm is very painful, can't even lift my toddler comfortably, banging headache, nausea, general aching especially around neck and shoulders, tired and temperature is up.
My friend who is a nurse on Covid wards said the symptoms seem to be worse in colleagues who've had Covid and I had it last April.

Felifox · 25/02/2021 13:40

I had the AZ and arm not too sore but did feel tired and had a few cold like symptoms but we had very cold or damp weather. Very minor though

AngelicInnocent · 25/02/2021 13:54

DIL had Pfizer and felt like a really bad hangover for 24 hours.

DD and MIL had oxford and were bedridden for 3 days.

DM and FIL had oxford and were completely fine.

Dogman · 25/02/2021 14:01

I had Oxford jab yesterday. Worst night in a long time. Fever dreams, shivers and sweats, everything hurt. I got had up paracetamol, got homeschool sorted and back to bed for 4 hours. Now up and dressed feeling a bit wobbly. It’s like I’ve had flu but speeded up.

Name99 · 25/02/2021 14:01

Thank you everyone.
Interesting about if youve had the virus before, I think I had it in the december before it all kicked off in march 2020.
Never had a test as they weren't available.
Im just keeping up with the paracetamol, hopefully I'll feel better soon.

I had this - very ‘fluey’ overnight, tired next day. My daughter had the Oxford vaccine and had the reaction, so I was warned. Lasted about 24 hours. I’m hoping it’s produced a good supply of antibodies!!

Cloudyrainsham · 25/02/2021 14:05

Everyone I know that’s had the Oxford one has felt awful after. I’m getting the jab this afternoon and am dreading it being the Oxford one.
