Help! Washing machine has exploded!

So the washing machine has finally packed in and is pissing water everywhere. Bastard. It's been fixed loads of times but think we now need a new one.

I've got a toddler, a grubby husband, and I'm a doctor so need to wash my manky covid encrusted scrubs for work on Monday: urgent replacement needed.

For the AIBU police I'm posting for traffic and no I don't want to post in a washing machine thread.

Recommendations for a washer-drier please. I have actually never bought one before so don't know where to start.

Same here Hans.

The nearest to a repair it's had is a replacement door seal. And that's because dp is careless and trapped clothes in the door. 🙄 The build quality is amazing, compared to my Bosch (( bodge )) fridge freezer which has massive rust patches and is all cracked and faded there's no comparison.

Sorry op, this is completely off topic, but I am shocked you have to wash your own scrubs. Does the NHS not provide you with clean ones every day? (I obviously know nothing about the workings of the NHS!)
As for machines, I wouldn't recommend a washer drier either - too much to go wrong and it will take for ever to wash and dry a load. For machines I'd recommend Samsung.

@SmudgedWardrobeHamster

Please don’t get a washer dryer. They break down. They don’t wash well and they don’t dry.

If you want a reliable washer I’d get a Miele. You’d likely not get it by Monday though. Couldn’t you stick all your clothes in a black bag for a week or however long it takes? Toddler and husband stay grubby. You’ll thank me when your machine is still going in 20 years.

The only decent washer dryer I’ve had was Miele. If you’re going to get a WD buy a Miele.

I had a hotpoint and I was pretty much on first name terms with the repair guys.

While I the OP has my sympathy, this thread is a major disappointment. I was expecting scenes resembling the aftermath of a fire in a fertiliser store. Instead, it's a washing machine with a bit of a leak.

Don’t go to currys. Theyve been on bbc watchdog for being totally uncontactable in the event if problems arising.
