Weight gain or loss during lockdown?

Basically the title? I’ve lost weight? I also seem to have toned up a bit , tummy needs more work though. I walk a lot but I also have days where I do nothing but go up and down the stairs.

neither really. about the same but probably a bit healthier than I would be back at the office because I have more time to cook proper lunches/dinners then I did before, i used to grab quick crappy lunches and easy dinners that weren't that healthy.

TrafalgarSquare · 19/02/2021 18:13

Loss. Can't be bothered to eat let alone overeat.

CovoidOfAllHumanity · 19/02/2021 18:18

Haven't checked properly. We don't have scales at home but my jeans still fit the same. Haven't worn any of my usual work attire eg fitted skirts so that might yet be a wake up call.

Have been keeping up with home exercise and going on long walks when I can but also having some long days chained to a computer apart from trips to the biscuit tin which were never a feature of my life before.

I hope I have stayed the same but a small gain that I haven't noticed isn't out of the question. I hope I don't get a nasty surprise when I go back to the gym and use their scales.

Stayed the same but got fitter until I fell pregnant. I’ve now gained a stone !

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 19/02/2021 18:22

First lockdown last year was a big weight gain (it was all the jolly 5pm crisps and G&Ts in the garden when the weather was good!) Plus I didn’t keep up with my exercise.
Decided to tackle the weight gain in January, so this lockdown has been a weight loss - woo hoo! (5:2)

hamstersarse · 19/02/2021 18:23

Same. No change at all.

dingoesatemybaby · 19/02/2021 18:24

Massive gain at first

Then loss last summer when I started exercising and eating properly again

Gain again as it got colder and over Xmas

Starting to lose again now

Gained

RhinestoneCowgirl · 19/02/2021 18:34

Lost about half a stone, enough for clothes to feel a little baggy. I've been doing IF.

Thedogscollar · 19/02/2021 18:37

Lost just over a stone but I've still been working throughout Covid. Work in NHS so that probably helped as well.

zzizzer · 19/02/2021 18:43

Gained almost half a stone in the first few months, so then lost two and started exercising to get healthier and hopefully have fewer side effects if I caught covid.

I have to admit, think all those years when I said there was no time for good diet and exercise, I was unconsciously relying on doctors to be able to fix any problems, whereas now I'm more aware that its on me.

PointlessUsername · 19/02/2021 18:45

Lost 32kg was trying to lose though.

Scarby9 · 19/02/2021 18:47

Loss in the first.
Gain in the second.
Summer / winter difference, I think.

AlexaShutUp · 19/02/2021 18:47

Loss.

I started losing weight in the first lockdown, and have lost 3 stone altogether.

junebirthdaygirl · 19/02/2021 18:55

Stayed the same. Weigh myself every Monday morning so if any change rein it in. Lots of walking but some extra baking so have to watch it.

NeedToGetOuttaHere · 19/02/2021 18:57

Gainy, gainy, gainy, gain!

PeachPiePip · 19/02/2021 19:20

Lost 2 stone. Would like to lose another stone to get back into size 10 for summer 😊

Northpole23 · 19/02/2021 20:05

Yeah I’m about a size 8 -10 again, Which is great but I just seemed to have lost weight. My friend has had opposite effect and gained weight. She said it’s stress and eating more

meow1989 · 19/02/2021 20:06

Gained 3lbs, lost 7lbs, gained 4lbs.

OhAnotherNameChange · 19/02/2021 20:08

Loss, but have been doing so for over 2 years now. I am actually starting to miss the gym now that the option to go has been taken away from me!

NuttySlacker · 19/02/2021 20:09

Loss. About 60lbs.

Holidaypending · 19/02/2021 20:10

Gain unfortunately

Teenageromance · 19/02/2021 20:10

It’s really interesting - I think I’ve lost despite not needing to. I’ve been working from home since last year. I eat when I’m hungry and probably healthier. No restrictions whatsoever but think I’ve just fallen into exactly what my body needs. A v interesting side to working from home .

quarentini · 19/02/2021 20:13

2 stone gain.

CautiousBlonde · 19/02/2021 20:17

LD 1 - gained a stone
Then lost half
LD 2 - no change
LD 3 - gained half so far, so now exercising Smile
