Weight gain or loss during lockdown?

Basically the title? I’ve lost weight? I also seem to have toned up a bit , tummy needs more work though. I walk a lot but I also have days where I do nothing but go up and down the stairs.

Gained up until 1st Jan then decided enough was enough and I've been calorie counting and exercising. I started IF a week ago and love it, lost half a stone since 1st Jan and fit my jeans again.

Mixitupalot · 19/02/2021 20:21

Lost 33lbs 1st lockdown - no more shift work & bad eating has helped. Now I am stuck with the last stone to go!

lissie123 · 19/02/2021 21:00

Loss 2 stone

ShastaBeast · 19/02/2021 21:18

Gained 7lb since before Christmas 2019, I hid the scales until recently. Still a healthy BMI but clothes tighter after months of stretchy clothes. Def stress eating, for non covid reasons mostly.

Currently on VLCD for one month to lose it again. 3lb lost in week one.

DH is the same and dieting for the first time ever. His BMI was nudging into overweight.

LuaDipa · 19/02/2021 21:30

Gained 1st over the last year when I was already more than a stone overweight. Finally got rock bottom and started to lose weight this lockdown. 10lbs down, loads still to go.

noideabutstilltrying · 19/02/2021 21:36

Not weighed myself but have dropped a dress size after getting to the point where size 16 was tight.

I think it's the eating at home, no dressing rich salad at lunch time. No large lattes with syrup in several times a week while in the office. Also no cake with the take out coffees

No going out for lunches at the weekend either.

Lost in summer...gained in winter...natursl and guess. Aiming to loose this year..

TheDogsMother · 19/02/2021 22:11

Lost about half a stone in the first, put it back on in 2nd and 3rd. I was motivated by our wedding which should have been May and was end of October.

IsThisNews · 19/02/2021 22:18

Not weighed myself, but put on about a billion stone.

I remember seeing a meme last year saying you'll leave lockdown one of three ways: as a hunk, a chunk or a drunk. Definitely chunky chunkerson over here 🐷

WannabeOT · 19/02/2021 22:46

Loss, nearly 5kg since start of November lockdown. I actually find it easier to diet when I can focus on it as I have shit all else to do. I plan my days eating on my fitness pal and generally find it easier at home. My office is one of those that always had cakes bought it and at home I just don't buy that stuff.

Lemons1571 · 19/02/2021 23:03

Lost 4 stone. Got another 4 stone to lose. Total loss will hopefully be 8 stone.

Booksandwine80 · 19/02/2021 23:06

grassisjeweled · 19/02/2021 23:07

Gained a little, probably 5 lbs.

It's gonna melt off once I'm back low carbing like a demon. Spring soon, so I'll have to begin

grassisjeweled · 19/02/2021 23:08

Amazing, lemons, utterly well done 👍

thenightsky · 19/02/2021 23:10

1st lockdown... gained.

2nd lockdown... gained a bit more.

Xmas... no hope

3rd lockdown... desperately starving to try and lose the excess 2 stone.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/02/2021 23:28

6lb up in total, but was weighing light at the start because I had been ill. So I am about 3lb over my “fighting weight”. Still healthy BMI and same dress size, but am MUCH more sedentary working from home, and not walking to and from work every day.

spaceghetto · 19/02/2021 23:31

Loss! I'm now a runner (but still serial cereal snacker!)

BogRollBOGOF · 19/02/2021 23:47

Gain.
I miss the school runs (literally runs, or at least brisk walks to be in time)
I miss my fitness classes
I miss races to train for

It's not salad season
Home schooling involves sitting in the kitchen much of the day
There's nowhere to go
I have twiggy children that need filling up with carbs

It's not a healthy combination

garlictwist · 19/02/2021 23:53

I don't own scales so have no idea what I weigh. I think I'm the same though, I haven't noticed any changes in either direction.

MaryShelley1818 · 20/02/2021 00:14

I've lost 26lbs since this time last year. I also gave birth nearly 3wks ago so was pregnant most of this time.

XenoBitch · 20/02/2021 00:19

Gained due to comfort eating and lack of movement, then lost due to no appetite and anxious energy... now gaining again :(

crossstitchingnana · 20/02/2021 00:19

Gain. 1/2 a stone. Basically I am always in the kitchen.

DenisetheMenace · 20/02/2021 00:21

Gain. Can’t exercise safely as much as I used to. I was too skinny before so not so awful, but still need to lose some.

Tinuviel · 20/02/2021 01:10

I probably gained in the first lockdown but have massively reduced the amount I eat and done more exercise since August, and have now lost 2 stone. I still have a stone to go, but it's coming off slower at the moment because of not being able to go swimming.

Fairyfalls · 20/02/2021 08:15

Gained. My clothes are tight and tummy big trying to get back in shape.
