...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

@Chunkymenrock

Lovely fleece liners and fleece tunnels for my guinea pigs.
Which ones please? I have got a second hutch and carefully put my boys out in the day, and bring them in at night, but fleecy liners sound great!

It was technically a birthday gift, not a lockdown purchase, but my ember mug has been life changing! My tea is always hot & I don’t accidentally leave half full mugs in the microwave anymore. I didn’t know I needed one (or that they even existed) and yet it’s the best thing I’ve been bought all year!

Howshouldibehave · 18/02/2021 22:53

Another heated throw fan here!

Also Google Chromecast - before buying I was watching Netflix and Prime on my laptop which after a day at work (on the laptop) wasn’t ideal. Now I can watch them on the TV

LouLou198 · 18/02/2021 22:56

M & S leggings, Disney +, headset for work and a decent bamboo mug so my tea stays warm during meetings.

Handwriting paper to save drawing out lines by hand.

Lots of chocolate.

Lap pool.

Disney+

bridgetreilly · 18/02/2021 23:06

Honestly, my Frame TV. It was a super-expensive purchase for me and I had thought about it and saved up for a long time. But it has meant that I can turn my whole room round and it looks so fabulous on the wall when I'm not watching TV. Have not regretted it for a single second. I have the 32" which is plenty big enough for my small room.

The other thing is the swing seat I bought for the garden. £80 from Amazon. I loved it in the summer and I can't wait for it to be warm enough to use again.

catpoooffender · 18/02/2021 23:07

@Confusedandshaken

A fan for the bedroom when it was hot.

A heated throw for the living room that is very handy now.

A calligraphy workshop last autumn that set me off on the new hobby that has passed a few hours a day and made this lockdown bearable.

I have also bought countless red lipsticks - god only knows why. I'm not going anywhere and I'm not wearing any other makeup and when I was going out they just smudged on my face mask but I have bought about 12 since last summer.

I'm the same with make up! I go through phases of buying loads and watching tutorials, but still can never be arsed to wear it!
bridgetreilly · 18/02/2021 23:07

Oh also, standing desk for working from home has absolutely saved my back in the last year.

babybythesea · 18/02/2021 23:11

@loveyouradvice

Me....

Furlined leggings kept me superwarm in lockdown 1

New fleece throws and hot water bottles for having friends to supper outside in November!

Britbox subscription

Yoga "socks" ... with non slip soles - use them for wandering around the house over socks and keep my toes WARM

A Hush onesie and PJs ... so so cosy and happy to say hello to friends at the door in them

Yet to get.... waterproof leggings, great boots and a great coat ... Yes I do need them and my wet cold feet are ongoing proof of that!

Can I recommend this coat from Mountain Warehouse? www.mountainwarehouse.com/aurora-womens-down-jacket-p15082.aspx/black/

I got one for Christmas. It is possibly the warmest coat I have ever owned. My dog walks are so much more pleasant now. And playground duty on an icy day is almost bearable!

Briony32 · 18/02/2021 23:11

Exercise bike and Les Mills subscription to do RPM classes at home
Wellies
Milk deliveries
Zoom piano lessons for DD and DS

But I'm now inspired to buy a yoghurt maker, pizza oven (but that really won't help the diet!), patio heater, dog and goodness knows what else!!

Which one? I have been looking at these but they vary so much in price.
