...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

We took out disney + in April - worth it for Hamilton alone.

BirdyBee · 18/02/2021 20:57

It's a contigo 16oz Biscay Bay mug from amazon, it's been dropped, knocked over and nothing spills, keeps tea hot for hours I love it!

mathanxiety · 18/02/2021 20:58

@Diamondella - they are robot hoovers. You charge them and then let them loose on your house. Eventually they get around to every square inch as they bump at random angles off furniture and walls, etc.

DD3 and I saw a lawn mower equivalent on one of our walks last summer. We stared at it like rubes Smile

LakieLady · 18/02/2021 20:59

@TheNestedIf

A rechargeable lamp that looks like the moon. An antique pair of opera glasses to see small things on the telly. Extremely strong Balkan vodka. Several times.
That lamp sounds lovely!

Where did you find it, @TheNestedIf?

Theorangeorange · 18/02/2021 21:00

Cordless Shark hoover - it's been worth it's weight in gold with all the crafts etc we've had to do with the lo's

buckeejit · 18/02/2021 21:02

@Diamondella Eufy is a brand name but they make robot vacuum cleaners. We have one & it's great. Had a robot vac years ago & the tech has massively improved. Recommended!

Three skips when i was clearing out my attic. They were hired, but it counts!

Kindle Unlimited subscription for while the library was closed.

YellowClogDancer · 18/02/2021 21:07

A battery powered cordless mower. Couldn’t start the petrol mower, gardener not allowed to visit, panic that I’d be buried under manic growth of lawn. So relieved to be able to start mower with push of a button and get the grass cut.

AlrightTreacle · 18/02/2021 21:09

Over all 3 lockdowns:

Comfy foldable garden chairs (for all the garden visiting we used to do)
Walking boots
Exercise bike
Yoga mat
Audible subscription
Fleece lined leggings
Velvetiser
Fairy lights to make the living room cosy

Just about to order some running shoes to attempt C25K for the third time BlushGrin

ememem84 · 18/02/2021 21:10

@Diamondella

I’ve seen Eufy a few times on this thread, can anyone tell me what it is? I’ve googled it and still don’t get what it is? 😕

Buy one!

LongIslandIcedT · 18/02/2021 21:13

Proper lockdown purchases; heated throw, lambskin slipper boots, wrap jumpsuit onesie.

Most useful item has been over ear Bluetooth headphones, great for drowning out the family so I work in my own little world.

MixedUpFiles · 18/02/2021 21:13

Theater seating.

Not only is it nice for watching movies at home, I discovered that when my back pain flares up, it’s the perfect place to rest and get some relief. Occasionally I even sleep there.

StoneofDestiny · 18/02/2021 21:13

@MirandaMarple

A house. I moved in July after a long, complicated (nearly 2 years) sale of my last house.
Never heard of heated throws - any suggestions as to where best to buy one?
PatriciaValiant · 18/02/2021 21:13

Hello Fresh!

StoneofDestiny · 18/02/2021 21:16

Sorry - no idea why *Miranda Marples' post got on my posting 🤷‍♂️

Just wanted to know about heated throws 😂

the largest Beko freezer I could find from John Lewis (in between lockdown 1 and 2, so it was safe to have it delivered.

We were shielding and dependent on deliveries.

It meant we knew we'd have decent food over the Xmas/ Brexit hump and even though a pre-Christmas delivery mostly was missing, we were fine and I could make nice food for the kids.

Also, we bought 4 cheapish Chromebooks (also from JL) in the space of a year.

We needed them too.

PiratePetespajamas · 18/02/2021 21:18

Artificial grass.

Ethelfromnumber73 · 18/02/2021 21:20

Icebreaker base layers for all the outdoor activities we are now doing

Pythonesque · 18/02/2021 21:20

For me it was a pre-covid purchase - only a few months before I'd needed a new laptop and decided to buy a surface (one of my teens having had one for school). Since my violin teaching went online it has been a massive help as I can just stick it on a music stand and see my students easily.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 18/02/2021 21:22

Airfryer
Laptops for DCs
Already had it but Les Mills subscription

Diamondella · 18/02/2021 21:22

Thx for the explanations of a Eufy! I’m not technical (as you can probably tell) I would buy one but I’ve just bought a cordless shark Hoover, I like the idea of it though! I was hoping it was some sort of security doorbell that you can view whose at your door from your phone when you’re not at home. My contribution to the thread is a chromebook for my 5 yr old to do his homeschooling which is great for primary aged kids. A candlewick blanket to go over bed - lovely and warm and a bit old skool looking it you go for that look. A nice key hook off eBay with brass hooks to stop us from loosing our keys all the time , a pair of sketchers for me in the sale on Pavers website so I can go walking and try to loose lockdown weight when kids go back to school and some Elemis foaming face wash which is lovely a great fro dry skin, some waterproof gloves off Amazon for kids and a cover/protector for dining room table for when the paints/crafts come out 😘

Kolo · 18/02/2021 21:25

Do I need a robot vacuum cleaner? 🤔
