Full briefs?

I'm 38. I needed some new underwear. I picked up a multi pack of black full briefs and had this warm feeling of wearing comfy pants but then a sense of dread came over me that as a 38 year old, I should not be buying big pants and that DH would probably piss himself (let's be honest, they are a bit of a passion killer I suppose!)

I compromised and got high legs in the end, but the more I think about it the more I wished that I had got the big ones!!

Yes - You are 38 not 78, buy a thong!
No - Comfy are the best, go and buy another pack of the big ones!

Bigger is better when it comes to knickers. Fact.

Imapotato · 27/01/2021 18:19

I go for comfort! I’ve not yet gone fully brief yet, but largeish cotton ones. Definitely nothing sexy!! I’m 35.

ThatchersCold · 27/01/2021 18:20

God I’m a year older than you and I’ve been all about the comfy pants for at least 10 years 🤣

LindaEllen · 27/01/2021 18:21

I'm 30 and have only ever owned one pair of 'sexy' underwear.

Hasn't done me any harm in the bedroom department haha.

CountryLi · 27/01/2021 18:21

Im early 30s and bought some Big ones for post baby and haven't looked back- they're as amazing as you'd think Grin

FirstladyKirkman · 27/01/2021 18:22

Yay! I'm not alone then!!

I will go buy them with pride!! 😂

Noooooo don’t do it!! Step away from the big pants!

grannyinapram · 27/01/2021 18:23

I'm 25 and have been wearing granny pants (the type that go over your belly button and all around your bum) for a few years now.
you can get nice colours and lacey sides. I still think they're sexy Blush

Cuntitinthebin · 27/01/2021 18:23

I've not worn a thong in years.

French knickers all the way, here.

BeanieB2020 · 27/01/2021 18:23

Comfort is the most important thing. I don't own a single pair that aren't full briefs.

Annie2930 · 27/01/2021 18:24

I’m 29 and buy packs of pants as you explain! Haven’t bought a thong in years 🤣

Imissmoominmama · 27/01/2021 18:25

I’m currently expanding my collection of merino knickers....

😬

frogswimming · 27/01/2021 18:26

Big pants for the win.

TokyoSushi · 27/01/2021 18:26

They're amazing, I bought some when I had a c section with DD, she's almost 8 now and I'm still in them, so comfy!!

CharlotteRose90 · 27/01/2021 18:27

I’m 30 and I think I’ve worn a thong once or twice haha. I’m a size 12 with hips and thongs definitely aren’t for my body shape

FirstladyKirkman · 27/01/2021 18:27

@LadyWhistledownthe1st

ParkheadParadise · 27/01/2021 18:29

Noooo

FirstladyKirkman · 27/01/2021 18:29

@TokyoSushi

I think that's my issue. After 2 kids I do have a bit of flab on the belly so they offer another layer of smoothing if you like. I also like my bum cheeks to be sufficiently covered. If it's not I feel really unsecure!! 😂

I had thrush at the start of the first lockdown (tmi! Sorry) and bought the fullest briefs in the size above mine to give me some breathing room Blush

I've bought three packs the same since!

itbemay1 · 27/01/2021 18:34

I did same recently they are lovely!!

Garlicinyoursoul · 27/01/2021 18:35

I’ve been wearing giant knickers since I was pregnant with my first, never looked back! I’ve got some fun lace ones for when I want to feel a bit sexy and a couple of NVP ones for under certain dresses, but otherwise it’s comfort all the way!

BiggerThanCheeses · 27/01/2021 18:36

I'm another thirtysomething fan of big knickers. Thongs happen to other people. DH doesn't care -- when we DTD I don't tend to be wearing underwear. Wink

GooodMythicalMorning · 27/01/2021 18:38

35 and full briefs. I hate underwear that doesn't fully cover my butt, and it's a pretty big butt!

Indecisive12 · 27/01/2021 18:39

Another who bought them for postpartum and haven’t looked back. The bigger the better imo!

BiggerThanCheeses · 27/01/2021 18:40

I find the "waistband" on thongs just keeps moving further and further north until it pulls against the bit of dental floss between my bum cheeks and suddenly I have the world's most annoying wedgie. Confused
