To order a McDonalds?

fairynick · 22/01/2021 16:50

I’m the biggest McDonalds fan ever. I never order for delivery though because it’s £3.99, have done once or twice as a special treat. (I know some may say I’m unreasonable for loving mcdonalds so much when it’s overpriced over processed crap, but the heart wants what the heart wants😂)
I’m doing veganuary and have been sent a code for 40% of McDonald’s that runs out on Sunday. It would basically make the delivery free. Would one cheat meal defeat the whole point of veganuary? I won’t be carrying it on from 1st Feb but will definitely be incorporating more vegan food into my diet, particularly during the week.

Plump82 · 22/01/2021 16:52

Just do it. 😊

CrochetOrBust · 22/01/2021 16:53

McDonalds have some vegan stuff if you didn’t want to “break” Veganuary

ScruffGin · 22/01/2021 16:54

Do it!

Lovemylittlebear · 22/01/2021 16:54

Veggie wrap :)

AvoidingRealHumans · 22/01/2021 16:59

Not doing veganuary but having the same dilemma as you. Just spent 80 quid in tescos and the £3 99 delivery puts me off but send me a voucher code and I'm anyones.
Let's just order, its a crap Friday in lockdown.

Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 22/01/2021 17:05

One or 2 meals over an entire month. You'd be silly not to!

PeppermintSoda · 22/01/2021 17:07

Do it. I'm just outside greater london and can't get McDonald's delivered but if I could we would as my kids love it

pawsies · 22/01/2021 17:08

It's free delivery at the moment through just eat

iloveredwine · 22/01/2021 17:08

Our just eat has free delivery over £5 for McDonald's at the moment so we have made the most of it

x2boys · 22/01/2021 17:09

Yes Do ,my Dh came home from work with a McDonald's for everyone today ,but watch out for the sanctimonious posts 🤣

thevassal · 22/01/2021 17:11

Just carry veganuary on to an extra day on 1st Feb to counteract breaking it this one day! (that's what I used to do when giving up chocolate for Lent, oh and "sundays dont count") Grin
I mean there's not much to make us happy at the moment, if this cheers you up go for it!
Plus, you know, you're putting money into the economy, doing your bit, supporting employment for both the McD restaurant workers and the delivery people Wink

PeskyRooks · 22/01/2021 17:12

Do it. Life's too short. I'm just waiting for my fish and chips delivery!

theantsgomarchin · 22/01/2021 17:15

Just eat delivery £1.99 😉

nanbread · 22/01/2021 17:15

Good opportunity to try the McDonald's veggie stuff? (It's grim if you ask me)

Onjnmoeiejducwoapy · 22/01/2021 17:29

Chicken nuggets: YANBU

Burger: not worth it, YABU

SantiagoSky · 22/01/2021 17:32

You can get vegan options in McDonald's, they are not bad.

ShalomToYouJackie · 22/01/2021 17:38

The veggie wrap and veggie burger are both really nice so you can still do Veganuary and treat yourself!

EvilPea · 22/01/2021 17:42

Have McDonald’s reintroduced the veggie stuff yet?
I got really fed up with chips for dinner from there so haven’t bothered

BasinHaircut · 22/01/2021 17:45

I’m having the weekend off of veganuary because I am utterly fucked off with everything today and I want cheese.

Do it.
