Anybody else sick of going for walks?

There’s only so much walking around a housing estate you can do. There’s muddy fields behind me and a walk around an old fort. And it’s raining. We do have a treadmill but that’s even less inspiring.

😫

Yes! My car and buggy are filthy. The kids come home covered in mud..doesn't bother them but I'm constantly washing!

MinnieMountain · 19/01/2021 16:53

I’d say yes but actually I’d be very happy if I could walk along the river paths here. The bloody thing keeps on flooding.

hollyandkit · 19/01/2021 16:55

Yep. And going running too. Might just hibernate til May like a grizzly bear

Rae36 · 19/01/2021 16:55

I was just thinking exactly this. I need to get out for some exercise this evening but I can't be bothered walking any more. It's so boring.

ScrapThatThen · 19/01/2021 16:55

A bit. We were working our way through a fairly local book of walks but we don't feel it's OK to drive there now so back to from the front door.

onemouseplace · 19/01/2021 16:56

Totally. We have probably 3 decent places to walk from our house, and I am sick to the eye teeth of all of them after the best part of a year.

rosegoldivy · 19/01/2021 16:56

Did this exact thread not just get deleted? Lol

MrsBrew005 · 19/01/2021 16:57

Yes!! It's not like the last lockdown where it was dry and sunny!! Where I am its cold and wet and muddy, every walkway to avoid mud is so so busy as everyone is using them!!! My kids are fed up with the same walks too!! We have decided to find a beginners youtube video on Karate tomorrow just to try something a little bit different (hopefully tiring mine out enough to sleep earlier!)!!

OwlWearingGlasses · 19/01/2021 16:58

I would love to go out for walks! I am sick of going into work every day...

Whatafool123 · 19/01/2021 16:58

Yup, so bored. Can't beloeve I am saying this but I long for soft play. Somewhere indoors with a cafe...

RedskyBynight · 19/01/2021 16:58

I'm not sick of walks. But I am sick of nothing else to do between times.

RhusTox · 19/01/2021 17:00

Yes. So bored with the walk here - even though it's a beauty spot and hence the path resembles the M25

Thisseatisnotavailable · 19/01/2021 17:00

I had to take my daughter to the Orthodontist today, it was quite exciting going somewhere different for a change. We even got to go on the tube Grin

Robbybobtail · 19/01/2021 17:00

Yep. We have the same debate every weekend about which walk to go on - walk through the park which is very busy but we can get a takeout coffee, walk through local national trust land but the little one gets tired and there’s no takeout coffee, or walk round the local lake but it only takes about 20 mins to do a circuit and then you’re done. Choices!

Oh and the mud! So sick of muddy wellies everywhere.

TaraR2020 · 19/01/2021 17:00

Soo sick of it

Physer · 19/01/2021 17:01

I normally love walking. Lots of tracks around fields here but I'm having to stick to country roads as the ground is so waterlogged.

Royalbloo · 19/01/2021 17:02

I wish I had time to go for a walk - been sat in my study since 7:30am...

LuckyAmy1986 · 19/01/2021 17:03

Yes! I'm concerned that when things are back to normal I am going to hate living here because I am absolutely sick of it. We normally enjoy a good walk but my god I can't take much more.

ramarama · 19/01/2021 17:11

I'm sick of walks with my child......

Ariela · 19/01/2021 17:13

Can't walk here, far too many walkers no hope of social distancing when there's 6 chatting outside your Plus cyclists. Thought I had it cracked earlier - it rained so we went for a walk. Nobody about.

Tongtwister · 19/01/2021 17:13

No I've had dogs for 10 years now so daily walks are always part of my life. If it's dry the kids come too on bikes or running and if it's wet I go I my own and listen to a podcast. We all go at the weekend no matter the weather. Yes it's the same walks as we don't drive out to walk somewhere different at the moment but it's always changing and I can't imagine staying in all day every day I'd go mad.

MrDinklesOhSnap · 19/01/2021 17:25

I’m sick to death of the mud. Mud mud mud everywhere and anywhere we go, all the paths are completely decimated from overuse and it’s just like a mud soup. It’s inescapable. My pushchair is filthy, God knows what people must think of us when they see it but there is literally no point cleaning it.

Usually I love walking but our options are so limited. It also appears that nobody is bothering to pick up their bloody dogshit anymore. Hate it.

user1471466920 · 19/01/2021 17:26

Yes, so repetitive sticking to a restricted area.

RandomMess · 19/01/2021 17:30

Yep feel like I know every inch of every pavement in the local area. At least the dog still enjoys it however she refuses to go out if it's raining or to windy 🤷🏽‍♀️

We also do a longer walk to the town centre large park and occasionally I venture 4-5 miles in the car to talk her on a much longer walk either the beach or countryside.

Peanutquavers123 · 19/01/2021 17:30

The entire world has turned to mud and I can’t walk around the estate behind us much more - there’s some lovely gardens but quite frankly I’m sick of seeing the same garden pond.
