To think getting my nose pierced really hurt

I got my nose pierced today and I don’t know if I’m getting soft but it actually really hurt. I’ve had it done twice before over the years with a gun and I barely flinched.

Today was a different story, i had it done with a needle and I thought I was going to pass out. Over the years I’ve had (nearly but not quite!!) every piercing imaginable and this was deffo the worst one!

Anyone else think it hurt?

I've had it done three times (four actually, but one didn't take) and it's the worst! The last time was actually horrible and took ages, because of scar tissue from my failed attempt. I've had my septum pierced too and barely even noticed it, so it's just the actual nostril. But yes, it is very very ouchy! But, as my grandma used to say, you suffer to be beautiful 😘 (she probably wouldn't have said that about nose piercings tbf 🤣)

I had it done with a needle and it was really sore - I definitely got a shock. It actually brought tears to my eyes - not crying tears but the kind you get when something really stings or shocks you.

Yup ! Also had many piercings over the years and the nose definitely hurts !!

I had mine done once with a gun at a piercing studio some years ago and I felt like I’d been kicked in the face, and to add insult to injury it failed to heal and I had to give up on it after a year.

Ive had it twice and i didnt hurt for me. First was painless second was a minor pinch. My bellybutton has been done 6 times and hurt like a motherfucker every time.

My nose hurt more than any of my piercings! But it's also my favourite. I have quite thick nostrils though. Definitely hurts more with a needle but it's way better than a gun.

My nose wasn’t too bad - my helix (top of ear) was the worst for pain.

My lobes were done with a gun in H Samuel in 1997 when I was 12. I fainted on the floor afterwards as my mum was paying

I've had mine done three times now. Once with a gun when I was in my early 20s and I thought it really hurt.

Second time was a needle, and it hurt so much I called the piercer a 'total fucker' He laughed and said he'd been called worse.

Third time was also with a needle, but it wasn't too bad because it was a re-piercing, and it only stung a bit. There were tears but no swearing.

I got my nosed pierced when I was a teen (um many moons ago) via a piercing gun - and yes, it hurt!

I've had a few piercings over the years, 16 in my ears, tongue done twice but my best one was getting my nose done. I was 16 at the time and I was a kitchen assistant in a residential home, I went to work one morning and the cook I was on shift with said she wanted to have her nose pierced, well by the end of our shift she had actually convinced me to have mine done first so she could see if it hurt and I agreed to it. So that same day I went to the shop (not sure if I can mention names but it sells hair bobbles n nail varnishes and is a girls name if that helps) and I sat in the chair got prepped and the girl fired the gun but unfortunately it didn't go fully through so I had to sit and have her take it out of my nose and reshoot it through again. That hurt but my workmate did get hers done in the end so I didn't go through with it for nothing. That piercing actually started off my thing for piercings but if I could go back in time I wish I'd have had it done with a needle. Takes a few seconds longer but it's more hygienic and I've found that piercings with the needle tend to heel up better.

I had mine done via needle and it was awful!!

Microblading and my tattoos were far less painful.

I felt like i'd been punched in the face. And then I messed around with it young and stupid and it got infected and had to come out! Never bothered getting it redone.

Didn't know they still used needles for piercings?

I had my belly button done at 15, and it absolutely killed.
I had my nose done at about 17, and tbh, I can’t even remember getting it done, so I reckon it can’t have been that bad! (Unless it was so unbearable I’ve blocked it out? Haha)

Nose is very painful! I went a bit cross eyed when mine was done and had to concentrate on not fainting!

These stories have made me laugh haha!

It brought tears to my eyes too, I come out on the room with a bloody nose, panda eyes and beads of sweat all over my face!
Never again!

If it helps i was about 16 when i got mine done and as i walked out of the piercing parlour a pidgeon flew directly into my face. Now that killed.

I had a nose piercing done donkeys years ago.
I felt I had been punched on my nose,I also had infection with this piercing.
This proberly was my fault not cleaning the piercing often enough.

I had a scaffolding ear piercing done too quite painful as hell..that was I rember..

The least painful piercing was an eyebrow piercing..

Mine was done with a needle by a proper piercer - hurt briefly as it went in but was fine.

If you had your nose done twice with a gun then you're stupid at best, and your piercer even more so (assuming it wasn't just your mate). Any gun piercings are traumatic and unhygienic.

Piercings hurt, shocking I know.

Im shocked by the amount of guns being used. Both if mine were needles and barely hurt at all, my piercer was very anti gun on anything except ear lobes.

I had it done twice at university, and thought it hurt the least of all my piercings! All the rest were in the top, bottom and tragus of my ears.

Must be down to the skill of the piercer. Can’t remember if it was gun or needle for me.
