Solve our family argument
Mum ate both ends of chocolate log.
Unreasonable or not?

I don’t know how to vote hah. That is most certainly unreasonable of your mum!

SakiSiam · 25/12/2020 19:45

Reasonable, but totally wrong Grin - best parts.

Disneyvillain · 25/12/2020 19:46

Ooh very Grin but actually depends - DH doesn’t like so much chocolate so he wouldn’t mind at all (lucky me!)

persistentwoman · 25/12/2020 19:46

Just be glad it wasn't the bloody dog OP - eyes up guilty party who spent Christmas eve at the vets throwing up. Angry

(he's fine now)

XmasNCTaDa · 25/12/2020 19:46

Proper unreasonable of mum - unless she needed it to get through the afternoon.

TallFriendlyGinger · 25/12/2020 19:46

You are not being unreasonable! That is a serious Xmas crime! You don't eat both ends of the log that's so greedy!

TheBuffster · 25/12/2020 19:46

YANBU- she should have left a slice
YABU- it's Christmas and she got there first!

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 25/12/2020 19:46

Totally unacceptable Shock

though I'd probably do the same if I thought I could get away with it

Irisheyesrsmiling · 25/12/2020 19:47

Unreasonable!

But it is Christmas! lol

Georgieporgie29 · 25/12/2020 19:47

She is definitely unreasonable, you are not.
We usually have our annual fight over this, thanks to not mixing at Christmas and making a three way log we have managed to have 3 ends this year so no sharing required.

tinselvestsparklepants · 25/12/2020 19:47

Patio. Unless she bought it and made Christmas dinner, in which case, fair enough.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 25/12/2020 19:47

Terribly unreasonable! If i hire the cement mixer in my name, no one will suspect if you bury her under the patio Xmas Grin

TheSpottedZebra · 25/12/2020 19:47

Did she bake it? If so, fine.

Hailtomyteeth · 25/12/2020 19:47

Who did all the work? If it was mum, she gets both ends of the chocolate log.

PrincessNutNutRoast · 25/12/2020 19:49

Totally unreasonable because it means I can't do it.

AfterSchoolWorry · 25/12/2020 19:49

@Hailtomyteeth

Who did all the work? If it was mum, she gets both ends of the chocolate log.
Yes. Small victories!
ScrapThatThen · 25/12/2020 19:49

Yep depends if she has been running everything

RumJerrySailorRum · 25/12/2020 19:50

If you can get away with it, do it!

Good for your mum!

TodgerStrunk · 25/12/2020 19:50

If she made it - fair does.
If she bought it - finders keepers.
Of she did Every Fucking Thing for Christmas - still ok.

Otherwise - nah.

ManxRhyme · 25/12/2020 19:52

If she baked it then it's hers by right. Or if she bought it then it's still hers by right.

AriesTheRam · 25/12/2020 19:53

Bit selfish but I'm not so secretly admiring her for doing it

TheHamsterCatcher · 25/12/2020 19:54

Totally unreasonable to eat both end pieces.

I would do it and not even feel guilty though! Grin Unfortunately, we only have Christmas cake this year.

Mumofsend · 25/12/2020 19:55

Very unreasonable but fair game!

Mumofsend · 25/12/2020 19:55

I'm another who would feel no guilt or shame at doing this too

Gertie75 · 25/12/2020 19:56

Depends which Mum it is, if it's me then it's perfectly reasonable, if it's any other Mum then very unreasonable.
