AIBU to want a Mandalorian "Child" soft toy for Christmas?

I know, I am a very grown woman - although young for my years 😂 - but am totally besotted with Grogo! 🥰🥰🥰. He is just the most stunning little guy ever created for tv and my heart just melts each time he is on the screen. 😍😍😍 (I'm not even a Star Wars fan!)

Feel free to tell me to grow up/get a life etc. but if you are planning on buying one of these for your DC at Christmas, their gift would not be safe around me. 🤣🤣🤣

Please tell me I am not the only person suffering from this obsession.

Not fair, can’t get the 11inch use either until April. Do I risk eBay for an overpriced one now? I think life would genuinely be better with Grogu in my life right now!

BM did have a few in the other week, you might drop on one. I'd wait, give you something to look forward to in these miserable times.

He is sooooo cute. I have plushy Grogu on my bedside table and another on my keyring. Who could resist those ears or his eyes x

@SistersOfPercy that one is for pre order for release 22nd January, I think that’s the nearest I’m going to get! Will risk that one arriving in a few weeks....

Ordered the plush in the hope of dispatch in a few weeks!

DS has a Disney store one, he wanted one for this birthday but they were only preorder at that point and said they were taking months to arrive (March). He got one for Christmas. He's 6 so hasn't even seen The Mandalorian.

I have this one too, my best friend (who knows me all too well) bought him for my birthday. Here is is with his life size uncle yoda. (You can see now why I need the proper life size Grogu)

Am I the only one gutted that Mando didn’t get him to take the ball from the ship at the end when Luke took him off? We were waiting, saying ‘Go on, show him the ball! You saved it, we saw you!’ Gutted.

The cute little squeaks were killing me with cuteness!

We had a full size R2D2 at one point, so I get the merchandising craze. (Also a Predator mask on the shelf coming down the stairs, quite horrible) We still have full size Storm trooper and Darth Vader helmets. My Dh is a big fan.

We currently have, full size: Jessica Rabbit, Roger Rabbit, Spike from Gremlins, E.T, Han in Carbonite, Yoda, Ewok, R2D2 and C3PO Full costumes (all wearable) there is Boba Fett (Esb version), scout trooper, stormtrooper (Esb), snowtrooper, Tie Pilot, Jawa. Incomplete but wearable helmets there is a couple of X Wings and a Vader. Not to mention many master replica lightsabers and guns that complete the costumes.

Everything star wars I own can be traced back to screen use so it's either been cast from an original screen used part or has lineage to. There is so much star wars alone I have a room dedicated to it.
We're a bit mad dh and I.

Oh @Sistersofpercy you’ve just gone up in my hero estimation, of course you need the big Grogu!
We also had a Christmas decoration on the tree for him. Some clever Etsy seller was gluing tiny Santa hats to the ministries and making them into decorations.

@cherrysoup yes! Unless future episodes show Mando lovingly looking at the ball as a reminder then that’s ok

My DH sold his Bobafett helmet and has whinged constantly about the incorrect accent in the Mandalorian. He too is only happy to have original mould items. He had a tour round the studios, they’re not far from his work. We have multiple light sabres. There was talk of making a full size Han Solo in carbonite, I’m hoping that isn’t raised again, I like very minimal walls!

RS Propmasters in Manchester are currently casting from a screen lineage Boba helmet. Almost everything they do has lineage. I bought my Han from one of the guys there too. Han is more difficult because as far as I recall only a few casts were done from the screen used in the USA. I have one of those but the ones you can pick up on eBay etc now are either casts of that cast so lose some clarity, or an awful one where the background of it is full of very thick, unsightly swirls. They are a mile apart.

Han was in the hall at the old house and rather in your face. Happier now it's all in a room and (some of it) on mannequins. We've had to convert that room to a temporary office so Zoom meetings have been interesting to say the least 😂
Here's DH in pre plague days when we used to do charity events in the suits... fun times. I miss that.

I am also the proud parent of this Grogu. So he needs to get festive, he needs a hat or outfit. Do build a bear type outfits fit? I’m thinking maybe elf or something or making a scarf or something? He neeeds a Christmas jacket?
