AIBU to want a Mandalorian "Child" soft toy for Christmas?

I know, I am a very grown woman - although young for my years 😂 - but am totally besotted with Grogo! 🥰🥰🥰. He is just the most stunning little guy ever created for tv and my heart just melts each time he is on the screen. 😍😍😍 (I'm not even a Star Wars fan!)

Feel free to tell me to grow up/get a life etc. but if you are planning on buying one of these for your DC at Christmas, their gift would not be safe around me. 🤣🤣🤣

Please tell me I am not the only person suffering from this obsession.

Our Lego set arrived today. Missed the boat for Christmas, so pleased to receive this.

So I’ve found a few shops taking pre orders, one saying feb, one March and one April.

Now Christmas is over and his baubles back in the loft Grogu has the gear knob to play with

I’ve actually got two now. DS bought me the interactive one for Christmas❤️

I got a baby yoda for xmas! Hes so cute and sat as the tree topper for a while.

Now hes moved from the camouflage of the tree into a more eye level position - I will admit hes made me jump at night a few times! Not used to having a wee alien with giant black beady eyes around.

I only ordered the Lego model yesterday off Amazon. It was also available on Symths, but not sure if there's a newer one?

My favourite Mandalorian characters were all the kick ass women. I wouldn’t buy a doll of them though.

@CheetasOnFajitas I never usually buy stuff, but you know, the whole pandemic thing made me transfer my emotions onto needing this as my Christmas present and I’m fine with that. Was given money for Christmas and I want to spend it on this toy. Shoot me.

They lost out on sales by keeping it secret the first series.

The one in photo is the cuddly one, the other I have is the interactive one with the mythasaur necklace like the picture. He closes his eyes and does the force thing with his hand and I squeal in delight at it.

I’m working on DH for the big, life size sideshow one that’s released here in spring, though I It’s £350 from memory so will take some dropping hints that😂

I really wish I hadn't found this thread and discovered the existence of the animatronic baby Yoda, my wallet is still suffering from Christmas!

Smyths did have a few in stock and was trying to find someone local but all fine now, probably the ones on eBay going for £100.

Personally, as cute and fun as the animatronic is, I'd go with the soft bodied one, you can pre order it here if it helps:

The soft one is a bit bigger and more noticeable on a shelf than the smaller version. Plus I don't really get much use from it as I occasionally pat its head to make it do something when I pass, but I don't actively play with it.

Not fair, can’t get the 11inch use either until April. Do I risk eBay for an overpriced one now? I think life would genuinely be better with Grogu in my life right now!
