Has anybody had inappropriate pm’s on mumsnet?

I’ve never checked my m’s partly, partly because I never thought I’d get any. I saw today where they were - and this was from March this year. I didn’t realize people were looking for hookups on mumsnet. Has anybody else experienced this?

Yes I have had several. I put it down to commenting in the second forum. (I name change frequently so it can't be that).
In the end, I turned off DM.

I disabled DMs for reasons like this. Most of the time they only get used for things too inappropriate to post on the main forum that I don't want to receive. It's intrusive.

Yes. It was a woman and when she realised I was a woman too, the message disappeared. Haha.

I only get as far as number 1. But if you open them here are steps 2 & 3.

1. Don't read PMS
2. If you do feel the need to read - ignore.
3. And if you can't ignore - report the buggers.

1. Click the little bobble person too right of screen
2. Click on “settings”
3. You might have to log in again but then you should see the field to change username

If you’re in the mobile site, select the little bobble person avatar top right of the screen. This menu will pop up. It’s on there.

Last time I looked there were still no PMs on the app.
