Anyway I actually hope Joe Biden wins and there is calm and peace.
Biden has had terrible tragedy in his life and I can relate to that.

StirlingFloss · 05/11/2020 22:58

He's just jealous that the networks reported favourably about Biden's speech. Pathetic! I predict he'll adopt that faux serious tone before saying what's happening in America is "very very bad" and how "sad" it is that democrats have stooped so low as to steal and cheat their way to the election win...

RedToothBrush · 05/11/2020 22:58

Kaitlan Collins @kaitlancollins
President Trump will deliver remarks in the briefing room at 6:30 p.m. We haven't seen him on camera since early Wednesday morning at 2:30 a.m. He has been agitating to speak publicly all day, sources said.

Oooo he's going to biggly be in a BAD mood.

AcrossthePond55 · 05/11/2020 22:59

@Roussette

"We're waiting for the United States Supreme Court - of which the President has nominated three justices - to step in and do something. And hopefully Amy Coney Barrett will come through."

Now you're talking. That was the plan all along.

And what's amusing is that the more they say shit like that, the less likely she is to 'come through'. She has a 'higher agenda' than Scrotus' reelection and she's going to want to retain her 'judicial reputation for impartiality' so her decisions on her pet issues of gay marriage and Roe v Wade are not questioned.

She'll probably be glad to see him go now she's got what she wants. Shit clinging to your coat-tails can really ruin your reputation.

Unless they’ve drugged him up to the eyeballs, I don’t see how he’ll be able to behave himself in any sort of appropriate way.

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 05/11/2020 23:04

This is probably what the White House team have been trying to prevent all day ;)

I think it will be 'interesting' television viewing...

to put it mildly.

I'm sure we will all be going wtf by the end of it.

Thanks for this interesting thread, new night on now, Brian Lanza trying to dismiss absence of GOP support.

Here's his speech. He's so predictable that I can just write it here for you and then you can go to bed:

There has been an attack on our country
Never has there ever been such a terrible attack on our country
There been cheating
Lots of cheating
Everyone is saying...lots of people. That's what I'm hearing.
And there are Good People out there in Arizona and other places, trying to get in to the voting counting places and if they exercise their second amendment rights, well...

(A few cokey sniffs and wavy hands will happen)

But the supreme court....

Yeah, we love those judges ....

Bla bla bla for a bit longer

End of speech.

There you are!

Roussette · 05/11/2020 23:07

Yes, so much tragedy. And that, to me, means he has empathy with this fellow human being. Public service for decades too.

Jim Acosta @Acosta
Trump adviser: "Math isn't on our side. We need an act of God to alter the course.”

CherryValanc · 05/11/2020 23:08

"The Incredibly Shrinking Presidency of Donald Trump" could be brilliant title of a book (just said on CNN.

I would love to know how he's behaving or what he's doing right now. Is he ranting and raving? Sitting in angry silence flipping though "fake" news channels.

Runningdownthathill · 05/11/2020 23:08

You’ve forgotten the mentions of Bad People and their fakery.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 05/11/2020 23:11

@Runningdownthathill I've included that in the bla bla bla section. But you're right, fakery shite should probs get its own paragraph, he will no doubt rabbit on about that for a while Grin

DuncinToffee · 05/11/2020 23:11

Nate Cohn @nate_cohn
Trump's lead in Pennsylvania down to 80k votes as Cumberland wraps up its count.
It's yet another county that finishes with a big shift toward Biden v. 2016, which goes from Trump+18 to Trump+11

I'm expecting a big ole tantrum.

Fake news, fake ballots, fake results - I won, I'm gonna sue etc etc

It's all about disrupting the process or if he can't then finding a path where he can claim victory even if he loses.

Then he can stand again in 4 years.....apart from that's a long time and without the protection of the Executive Office it will be interesting so see how many "issues/irregularities" with his tax position and huge debts etc remain obscured.

It's also interesting how senior republicans are NOT getting behind his "stop the count" message and despite his fervent public supporters l'm suspicions as to how many republican politicians at least would want him back in the game.

MerchantOfVenom · 05/11/2020 23:12

I feel sorry for trump haters. I come here and read these threads and wonder if they have being feeding the kids in the last two days. And then now they have to worry about the possibility of Trump running in 2024.

Watching the butt-hurt snowflake Trumpy tears (Don, Junior, Eric) sure helps ease the trauma.

Roussette · 05/11/2020 23:13

I think you've nailed it there! I'm honestly tempted to get a few zzzz's in because of your post, I'm averaging about 4 hours max a night at the moment!

Although frankly it’s appalling (and yet depressingly unsurprisingly) how few are calling him out on it all.

I'd absolutely agree with that.
