Intrigued to see who everyone thinks will win the current US presidential elections? I wouldn't personally vote for Trump, but I think he will manage to win another term. What do you think?

YABU = Trump will win
YANBU = Biden will win

Trump wins Indiana
Biden-0
Trump-11

Its been announced that NC (major battleground state and my home) will have delayed results due to technical difficulties (1st lawsuit)

tobee · 04/11/2020 00:06

"Then going by that criteria it also means that 'whatever I'm told by people/news broadcasts/newspapers etc must be true"

Well I critically think the MSM too! I can do both.

Trump underperforming in Florida

AgeLikeWine · 04/11/2020 00:07

Trump, unfortunately.

I’m expecting a big hidden Trump vote to emerge. People, mainly white, who think of themselves as respectable and decent and who would never admit to anyone that they support Trump because they believe they would be judged as racist, xenophobic bigots. In the privacy of the polling booth they will vote for Trump.

I hope I’m too pessimistic and I hope I’m wrong, but my hope and optimism about politics was destroyed in 2016.

Mokusspokus · 04/11/2020 00:07

Oh goodness!!

I can't believe this election or these times!!..

Mokusspokus · 04/11/2020 00:07

Age, maybe your right.. I think covid would have stamped that out.

gchali · 04/11/2020 00:10

Word that Trump is underperforming in Florida already

Leaannb · 04/11/2020 00:10

@4forkssake apologies - I have just looked back at your prior post and you are absolutely right, you didn't claim the Bidens were anything to do with human trafficking, I misunderstood your words. I will blame it on nerves!
I admit that it is possible that trump has chipped away at human trafficking and prison reform, although I haven't read enough about either of these things to speak with any authority on them. It's just such a shame that he is so bad at getting his message out beyond his base. He blames the MsM for that, but of he spoke coherently, was courteous and attempted to build bridges in a genuine way, maybe he could succeed in rising above the clamour and noise of 24hr news. But he seems to court that drama, and thrive off that negative attention and therefore people don't really pick up on any good things he does. That's just my opinion anyway. I do agree with you that the mainstream media haven't done themselves any favours though. They should just disengage from his drama completely I stead of acting shocked and giving him airtime.

Birdsong111 · 04/11/2020 00:15

I think it will be Trump

gchali · 04/11/2020 00:16

Trump will win. He would get my vote if I was living in the US, I’m very vocal about that as are many Americans who believe in him.

CoronaIsWatching · 04/11/2020 00:17

Things are looking...good for Biden, much better than I thought

Where are you seeing this?
Leaannb · 04/11/2020 00:23

He is losing a lot of votes in the Miami-Dade Area. That has me concerned

SheepandCow · 04/11/2020 00:30

@Thehouseofmarvels

If Trump gets in I wonder if one of his kids will run for 2024. I also wonder if he could be their Vice President.
I think Kanye West will run properly in 2024.
SheepandCow · 04/11/2020 00:32

These technical glitches in Pennsylvania and anywhere else. What's that all about? Is it a computer issue? Do people have paper backup?

BlackForestCake · 04/11/2020 00:39

Apparently people have been sanitising their hands which has led to sanitiser residue building up on the counting machines!

yaboo · 04/11/2020 00:46

I reckon it'll be Trump...

Oh - thanks. That makes sense. My hands go all sticky after using it. Some brands dry quicker than others.

Well the good news is that people are washing their hands.

skeptile · 04/11/2020 00:51

The only pollsters who predicted 2016 correctly are predicting a Trump win, largely based on the 'shy' Trump voter who won't admit to family/friends/coworkers their voting intentions.

skeptile · 04/11/2020 00:52

There was a very interesting article in The Express about it. Sorry I can't link.

Rubybluesy · 04/11/2020 00:52

Yanbu

freddosfrogs · 04/11/2020 01:30

@Hoctober

Trump, I think- he's not far enough behind in the polls for my liking.
Reluctantly I have to say I think you're right.
