Without all the usual Christmas threads
I mean....what will people find to moan about Wink

OP posts:
Cheeseandlobster · 01/11/2020 12:02

Oh don't you worry your pretty little head. There will be a feast of complaints about people not wearing masks, breaking lockdown, daring to cough in public. Mumsnet will be on fire Grin

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2020 12:03

The complaints about lockdown and what’s ‘aloud’ are where it’s at now.

motorcyclenumptiness · 01/11/2020 12:05

There's always parking

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:06

No moaning about the relatives out staying their welcome, no complaining about MIL catering skills, no whinging about DH getting pissed before stuffing the turkey
Grin
It'll be a barren wasteland here I tell you Grin

Moansnet? Smile

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:08

Maybe we could request a special board where people can whinge to their Hearts content called moansnetGrin

ViciousJackdaw · 01/11/2020 12:08

@Sparklingbrook yes, there's alot of those ones Wink

Let's not forget the hefty dollop of ageism we can surely expect.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:11

It'll be interesting to see how quickly the "Its not fair I can't have my family over at Xmas" threads Start
Given that most years on here it's "I'm sick of my family visiting every single Xmas and just want to be at home with my little family" threads that seem to dominate
Be careful what you wish for eh

OP posts:
Nousernameforme · 01/11/2020 12:13

There will be a lot of ones saying. Is it just me or is it not the same this year. Or AIBU to demand christmas is done this way every year it's so peaceful

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2020 12:14

I do think there's room for a Coronavirus AIBU topic. Get some proper AIBUs then if you got rid of the CV ones.

Oh yes everyone who usually hates seeing family over Christmas will suddenly be full of rage at not being able to do this. Grin

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:15

I suppose the moaning about people's gift choices will still have plenty of mileage

OP posts:
EmeraldShamrock · 01/11/2020 12:16

Yanbu. 🎅
There'll be peace and harmony.

Nah, the lockdown threads will carry us through perfectly well, don't worry about it.

ImperfectTents · 01/11/2020 12:23

No New Year's Eve complete shit show . It won't be the same

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:24

Oh lord
Forgot about New Year's Eve
Maybe we could ask HQ for a repeat to spice things up a bitGrin

midsomermurderess · 01/11/2020 12:29

Endless threads asking 'should I report my neighbours' and berating people for having a little sit down on a bench will be a pleasing diversion for many.

blueangel19 · 01/11/2020 12:29

all Cheeseandlobster you forgot to add bashing the government and mainly Boris for lockdowns.

FlouncerInDenial · 01/11/2020 12:29

There'll be plenty of teacher bashing opportunities with the schools staying open.

Don't worry about MN. Remember that nature abhors a vacuum...

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:30

Wonder if there'll be Xmas zoom call angst

OP posts:
echt · 01/11/2020 12:30

Don't worry.

The explosion of outrage when thank you gifts for teachers are mentioned will be visible from outer space.

You HAVE to be kidding.

Christmas & Covid will keep the threads on repeat

BearSoFair · 01/11/2020 12:34

There will be present postage threads, I'm calling it.

'The queue at the Post Office is too long, everyone has boxes and I only have one jiffy bag, AIBU to think they should all get out the way and let me go first?'

'DH thinks the postage cost should count towards the gift budget and I think he's stingy, who is right?'

'We sent parcels to Nieces and Nephews and the parents didn't send our DC anything in return, just a cheque, AIBU to think this is impersonal and shows no thought?'

Hobnobswantshernameback · 01/11/2020 12:34

Oh lord
There's a whole world of "my neighbour popped a Xmas card through my letterbox...is she trying to murder me with covid...does she not know there's a pandemic going on"
Type threads just waiting to explode
Grin
