CanadianJohn - the mail in ballots have yet to be counted.

Surley he cannot win. It would beggar belief....

Ghosts2020 · 04/11/2020 04:41

@tobee@canadianjohn the mail ballots will play a massive difference this year due to 2020 covid. The news channels I am watching including what you have listed are far behind the actual results, the percentages mean nothing compared to seats/posts, I think you're watching the wrong map.

Harriedharriet · 04/11/2020 04:43

I call a Biden win. By a country mile....
Night all!

AcrossthePond55 · 04/11/2020 04:45

According to Nichole Wallace of MSNBC, "neither campaign expects to see a winner declared tonight". She didn't elaborate.

That seems the be a change in the Scrotus camp. He insisted that the winner 'must be declared on election night'.

CanadianJohn · 04/11/2020 04:45

Harriet and Ghosts...

I hope you are right. I live within sight of the US border, and have relatives in Michigan. I get far too much US news.

Well that's what I was hoping @Ghosts2020 but worried looking at percentages yet to be counted. I know for eg Milwaukee still to start counting, tomorrow morning I believe. Hoping that, as predicted, mail ins are for dems largely.

tobee · 04/11/2020 04:46

Yay The Mooch on bbc. The cavalry has arrived GrinGrin

tobee · 04/11/2020 04:48

Hoping he signs off by blowing kisses 😘

Africaisnotacountry · 04/11/2020 04:52

Yes it is. It's too fucking tight to call. Biden needs to win this - for all that is good and moral in the world- he cannot lose.

(I can't believe Mitch McConnell retained his seat. I thought Trump might win but he would definitely lose😕🤢🤯)

EmmaGrundyForPM · 04/11/2020 04:53

@Ninetyseventhirtyfive

I feel like I'm watching England play in the World Cup semi finals and everything is going so well at first but then they lose focus and it all goes a bit flat and they end up in a penalty shoot out which you can hardly bear to watch and you know deep down how it's all going to end ..
exactly! This is too depressing for words...
Ghosts2020 · 04/11/2020 04:57

@tobee as far as I have been watching the immediately live polls not general news coverage Biden is leading, he takes a hit then a win its still all to play for with Biden currently leading

maggiethecat · 04/11/2020 05:00

Tobee - hopefully the mail ins don’t surprise us. I think we have been surprised so far in the increase in black voters supporting Trump but then again that may be because Trump supporters have disproportionately voted in person 🤞

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:01

Ok thanks @Ghosts2020. Trying to hang on in there! Smile

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:02

Thanks @maggiethecat

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:02

Shit well now they're calling Ohio for Trump

Leaannb · 04/11/2020 05:03

Fox News os calling Texas for Trump. 223-204 (Biden). NC has 100 percent precincts reporting for Trump bit with less than 100,000 votes.

Leaannb · 04/11/2020 05:04

@tobee

Shit well now they're calling Ohio for Trump
Fox News is calling Texas for Trump
tobee · 04/11/2020 05:06

Yes not so surprised there though.

BruceAndNosh · 04/11/2020 05:06

It's hard to imagine how a second term of Trump could be worse than the last 4 years, but I'm sure he could manage to find a way

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:07

Virginia and North Carolina bit more hopeful than earlier.

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:08

I think he's going to go more and more off the rails; politically and mentally.
Leaannb · 04/11/2020 05:11

@tobee

Virginia and North Carolina bit more hopeful than earlier.
No they aren't. According to local news with 100 percent precincts reporting Trump.won NC with less than 100,000 votes
maggiethecat · 04/11/2020 05:11

Was Trump expected to win Virginia?

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:13

Well N Carolina has 1 % point difference and was wider than that. And they are predicting Biden to win Virginia but maybe I'm reading it all wrong.

tobee · 04/11/2020 05:16

Changing again on percentages in Virginia but predicted Biden
