This MP?

Been trying to work it out ...

JM10 · 24/10/2020 01:00

I assume you mean the MP should be sacked not whoever from the school.wrote that post?

WhereverIGoddamnLike · 24/10/2020 01:09

You cant sack an MP.

scotsllb · 24/10/2020 01:14

If his statistics about the children in that particular school are true then he wants to get his finger out and do something constructive about his constituency that tackles it effectively rather than moaning about feeding these poor kids
Truly awful.

alibongo5 · 24/10/2020 01:17

He was the MP who admitted to making horrendous false allegations about Jeremy Corbyn and agreed to paying to a charity nominated by Corbyn in redress so should in my opinion have been kicked out after that. An odious man.

alibongo5 · 24/10/2020 01:19

@WhereverIGoddamnLike

You cant sack an MP.
They can have the whip withdrawn though.
scotsllb · 24/10/2020 01:22

He's not happy the school have exposed him for the Tory scum he is

This MP should be sacked

Exactly what I thought. He’s their MP. Why on earth isn’t he doing more for these kids?
Smallsteps88 · 24/10/2020 01:35

“Extending school meals doesn’t reach these kids”

Right so do fuck all then? Forget about the kids that FSM does benefit? Just because it doesn’t fix all societal problems you bin it off? That makes zero sense.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 24/10/2020 01:36

How on earth do they know that 25% of parents are illiterate?! I've never known a school to measure that probably because it's total bollocks

FagashJackie · 24/10/2020 01:44

Wow! I don't think I'd vote for him. Unless he can take me with my fsm vouchers to the fun places in Mansfield?

ViciousJackdaw · 24/10/2020 01:44

Love the way the school have sneaked in a little reminder about social media and DC!

FagashJackie · 24/10/2020 01:45

Hello Madam, lady of the night, how do you do?

Do you accept fsm vouchers for your services?

JamieLeeCurtains · 24/10/2020 01:57

Ben Bradley comes across, by reason of his public tweets and his track record of proven lies, as being a vile, uncaring and particularly ineffective MP.

Fascinating to watch him digging himself deeper into the shit though with each passing day.

Goldistheanswer · 24/10/2020 02:08

After reading this thread, I thought I’d look up how my MP voted. Surprise, surprise he voted against FSM. This has really angered me and I’ve emailed him to express my feelings. What planet do these people live on? They’re all getting 4.1% pay rise to bring their salary up to £84000 😧 but they can’t feed vulnerable children.

Lineofconcepcion · 24/10/2020 02:16

Dreadful, particularly as Bradley was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party for Youth in 2018. But look at his voting record. Has never voted on equalgay rights, has never voted on allowingmarriagebetween two people of same sex, voted against laws to promoteequality and human rights. Just about sums up this person with his abhorrent views.

tobee · 24/10/2020 02:34

What an absolutely appalling excuse for an individual. 😡

JamieLeeCurtains · 24/10/2020 02:40

He seems very arrogant, repressed and entitled. His advice surgeries must be a bundle of laughs.

Sobeyondthehills · 24/10/2020 02:44

Everytime I see one of these threads I am surprised.

I am surprised that people who didn't vote Tory are shocked by what has happened
I am surprised that people who did vote Tory are shocked by what has happened.

I am surprised by the fact I am not in workhouse by now

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/10/2020 03:22

Sobeyond
I get what you’re saying. It’s just people cannot believe the lack of humanity each and every time.

ClareBlue · 24/10/2020 03:28

We can all identify cases where a system is abused or goes wrong in some cases. For example the ability of our tax regiem to prevent off shore tax evasion (sorry got distracted there), but the point is that a system as basic as ensuring thousands of children have a meal during a school day should not be derailed by a few examples of where it doesn't meet what it is targeted at.

An MP should know better. I very rarely get emotive enough to agree with a campaign to get rid, but in this case I agree.

Sobeyondthehills · 24/10/2020 03:30

@Mummyoflittledragon

It was 9 years of this shit, we voted for it for another 5 years, I honestly don't understand why people are surprised

Coldandwet123 · 24/10/2020 03:32

This is St Edmunds in Mansfield?

RunBackwards · 24/10/2020 03:39

75% have a social worker, in his constituency? I'm not sure if that's an appalling failure or a huge success, that they have so many SWs available?!

The man is odious, I wonder if that charity payment was ever made, but doesn't he have a point about a school getting involved in politics? They're right of course but also brave!
