To ask for help choosing a Shark

I’ve decided to treat myself to a new, bagless vacuum cleaner and have narrowed it down to 2 Sharks. I can’t decide between them and would be interested to hear from anyone who has them.

I have a one bed flat which is carpeted apart from kitchen and bathroom which have vinyl flooring. I have two short haired, but constantly casting, cats. It would be handy to be able to use the vacuum to do the close stairs - using an extension cable for power - but not essential.

The two I’m looking at are the Shark Lift-Away Upright with True Pet NV601UKT

I have the shark lift away true pet. Hate it.

Loved it to begin with, quirky lights, and tools all on board.

We have a labrador and over time the hair sticks in the hose until it builds up and blocks and the only thing that gets it out is the power washer and it takes days to dry, not ideal with a shedding dog.

It falls over all the time when using tools, the hose is awkwardly tight and doesn't extend easily, it drags the vacuum to fall over our even up stairs after you, watch out for bruised legs. the motorised head for the stairs is useless on pet hair. It is rubbish on hard floors too. I need to find a better replacement but haven't got to the point it annoys me that much to spend hundreds on another decent vacuum, and not sure which one to get.

It arrived today and oh my goodness! I thought my carpets were clean!

I’ve not tried any of the gadgets or trickery yet, but so far, it’s amazing! And I love the headlights.
