I saw that re the change in Covid testing. DS2 is currently waiting in line for testing (drive-through). Looks like he just made it under the wire since he's asymptomatic. Of course the CDC is just issuing guidelines, states are free to set their own guidelines. The kicker is, of course, whether or not one's health insurance will pay for testing outside of CDC guidelines if one doesn't have the resources to pay cash.

The PHN said he should be tested twice more during quarantine but I doubt now that will happen. She recommended testing at days 5, 10, and 14 after exposure to be sure you aren't carrying the virus.

Fucking CDC director; "We can't keep up with testing, so let's just change the parameters". That's right along the lines of "We need to do less tests so we have less cases". It should be a crime.

DS2 may get the tests as recommended after all.

Gavin also said that in the St of California tests should cost no more than $50.00 a pop. DS2 can afford that if his insurance won't pay, although I know that many can't.

Major sports teams refusing to play to protest the murder of Jacob Blake. I think this is wonderful. Athletes are heroes to many and I think it's great that they are showing that having a social conscience is important.

So fed up of the gaslighting RNC. Trump the family man, Trump the kind, concerned friend/employer, Trump the man of God (!), Trump the benevolent patriarch... on and on.

But yes, it's OK for a 17 year old to "maintain order" by shooting at least 3 people and killing 2 of them!! And that's before we go back to the reason they were peacefully protesting... oh yes! Another innocent, unarmed black man shot by a trigger happy white cop in Wisconsin.

States like Wisconsin are going to decide this election. And tonight Miss Universe Trump gets crowned.

Are there actual rules about how you can/may vote? I mean, if you are registered as a voter with the Republican Party, can you vote Democrat all down the slate? Because if so, there might be a bit of a shock for the GOP on the day, if a lot of people they have assumed are safely republican vote for Biden. Presumably this hundred McCain staff members were registered as Republican until this point, for instance, but there may be a lot more who feel the same but haven't said so.
