God she's stunning. Her figure!!

I've just watched countdown and she mentioned her dc being 1. She looks perfect.

Plus she seems really nice too.

And mega brain.

Oh well sigh

So let me get this straight - Corbyn protesting Apartheid is racist, yet the Conservatives can preside over the Windrush scandal and Dominic Cummings (himself a eugenicist) can appoint a eugenicist aide who believes black people are naturally less intelligent and that’s all fine?!

V good post.

Sticking to original post.
Countdown that's on now is series 68 which was recorded in 2013.

@Pleasenodont

Being a Zionist definitely is a bad thing and most Jews (including my Father and his whole very Jewish family) believe so.
Untrue.

Your father (if he exists and is indeed Jewish) is very unusual.

Full Fact found 3 in 5 British Jews ie 'most' do call themselves Zionists and fully 95% of British Jews support a Jewish state in Israel.

fullfact.org/news/are-majority-british-jews-zionists/

Stating that self-determination for Jews is a very bad thing is a very racist statement.

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 16:37

SuckingDiesel - your posts are all being reported for repeatedly quoting a blatantly racist post.

Unless it's in a thread about Rachel Riley, in which case it's a very bad post.

The treatment she's had on twitter from Corbynistas is undoubtedly racist. Good on her for taking them to court.

Corbyn protesting apartheid is hypocritical because he did nothing about the racism in his own party. Which is now being investigated for anti Semitism. Corbyn is claiming the investigation is a conspiracy. Hmm, I wonder what kind...

What does Windrush have to do with Rachel Riley? Is it because she has been calling out racism on twitter? A weak connection but I think I get it. Dominic Cummings and eugenics, though. You've lost everybody on that one.

ShouldHaveGoneToBarnardCastle · 04/06/2020 16:40

@xxyzz I didn’t know that and if that’s the case it is grim. But how can you square support for BLM with being a Zionist, which involves support for a solely Jewish state at the expense of Palestinians and the forced expulsion and confiscation of their lands?

The preamble of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, which has been ratified by 53 African countries as of 2014, includes an undertaking to eliminate Zionism together with other practices including colonialism, neo-colonialism, apartheid

Fair enough.

I think it's better to call such posts out and explain why they are racist but if you want to report, go ahead.

amijustparanoidorjuststoned · 04/06/2020 16:42

I'm not one for knocking women down. But Rachel Riley behaved APPALLINGLY on Twitter during the general election and said some really awful things about Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour party. It's a no from me.

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 16:43

I have reported therapist you were quoting too.

I don't see any point in discussing racist tropes, they are banned from MN. I don't wish to repeat them endlessly.

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 16:44

The post not therapist.

ShouldHaveGoneToBarnardCastle · 04/06/2020 16:46

@Graciebobcat

Isn't calling out Jeremy Corbyn a bit 2019?

Totally. But gotta keep the focus on him, to deflect from Boris - the lying lazy incompetent chancer and his spectacular failings as PM.

MouthBreathingRage · 04/06/2020 16:49

I had no opinion on her until the Twitter fiasco. There were far more intelligent and less propaganda filled ways to make her point. She made a herself look like one of those Free Tommy wankers with that shirt.

Israel has repeatedly tried to pursue a two-state solution. The Palestinians have walked away every single time because they refuse to recognise that the state of Israel exists.

Being a Zionist does not involve any political stance, or an endorsement of the government of Israel. It simply means support for a Jewish state? Why wouldn't you support the idea of a Jewish state? Can you explain please?

According to google you are correct about the African Charter. It isn't difficult to work out why some of those countries would object to a Jewish state, unfortunately.

ShouldHaveGoneToBarnardCastle · 04/06/2020 16:50

@SuckingDieselFella not confused at all. Corbyn called for kinder, gentler politics and was mercilessly vilified and hounded. Those on the right repeatedly invoke this call for “kinder gentler politics” to deflect criticism when one of their own has been found to be a fault (Boris Johnson, Dominic Cummings, Priti Patel etc). It is hypocrisy at its finest.

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 16:51

"Corbyn called for kinder, gentler politics"

Ha ha ha.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 04/06/2020 16:51

Woah!

Conspiracy Alert!!!

LolaDarkdestroyer · 04/06/2020 16:52

She's meh far from stunning

You've been spending far too much time on twitter. It warps a person's sense of perspective.

Your enemies aren't everywhere. Most people don't share your obsessive interest in politics. The only person who has brought up Tories, Boris and Dominic Cummings is you. Even your username suggests an obsession. Maybe time for some legal, socially distanced fresh air?

ShouldHaveGoneToBarnardCastle · 04/06/2020 16:58

@SuckingDieselFella

Support for a Jewish state - all good. Support for a state purely for Jews, in which Palestinians have no right to vote, are stripped of their land and are totally disenfranchised- not so good. Not hard to understand.

Ah yes, those pesky anti-semitic African countries.......Or perhaps, having being victims of centuries of colonialism and oppression they empathise with the Palestinians and their desire for self determination, no? Just another view.

Also pp who said Jews who oppose Zionism are rare - that hasn’t been my experience. A lot of left wing Jewish people I’ve met, do too.

ShouldHaveGoneToBarnardCastle · 04/06/2020 17:00

@SuckingDieselFella I’m not on Twitter but nice try . Ah yes - throw a few ad hominem attacks once you lose the argument and get shown up as the total hypocrite you are. Sure sure. Maybe it’s you who could use some fresh air?

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 17:03

ShouldHaveGone - fairly obviously, if you're used to being part of a minority group (Jews) that has faced genocidal and institutional racism, you are going to have sympathy for other groups eg (black people) who are also facing murderous and institutional racism.

This is why Jews were among the leaders of the anti-Apartheid struggle in South Africa (and unlike Corbyn who is all mouth and no trousers, actually went to jail for years in support of black people's struggle). It's also why Jews in the US overwhelmingly voted against Trump.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Slovo

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Suzman

etc.

Rachel herself has faced death threats for standing up to anti-Semitism.

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 17:07

ShouldHaveGone - see the link to full fact above.

You can claim till the cows come home that lots of Jews oppose Zionism. It's still completely untrue. Most Jews are Zionists. Most Jews support the Jewish state.

It does suggest you mix in a very narrow circle. Maybe you should get out more and meet a wider range of people. Very few people in the real world think Corbyn was either kind or a good leader.

xxyzz · 04/06/2020 17:09

I guess some people are just jealous of beautiful, successful members of ethnic minorities.

Same as it ever was.
