AIBU to ask what unusual subscriptions you get?

So not the usual glossybox/ craft gin / Gousto ... I'm looking for something unusual that I may not have heard of before

For info, I subscribe to Leaf Envy, Bumboo and I receive various beauty boxes as part of my job so get all those.

So.. what is out there I may not be aware of?

@ScarfLadysBag have you got a referral or discount code for books & pieces? Thinking of giving them a try :-)

Mkh873w · 05/05/2020 20:33

We have TinkerCrate for the kids and a Japanese snack box, which is very exciting.

I’ve noticed that bamboo products are trending ( eg Bumboo) and am wondering whether people are aware that bamboo has to undergo a multi chemical brining using various acids and sulphides in order to make it malleable in its production into fancy, expensive toilet paper and reusable cups, socks etc...

rottiemum88 · 05/05/2020 20:42

Sadly nothing exciting, just a couple of magazine subscriptions for The Economist and The Week.

Lactarius · 05/05/2020 20:50

I have a subscription to a New Zealand magazine called "The Shed". I have no connection to NZ beyond this

ScarfLadysBag · 05/05/2020 20:56

@Stealthynamechange I don't, sorry Sad They don't seem to have a referral scheme. We've only had one box so far as just signed up last month but the books were good and age appropriate and one has become a firm favourite.

Subscriptions to Red and Grazia, plus a monthly flower delivery from Bloom and Wild. I love getting things in the post.

This code gets £10 off B&W if anyone wants to try - I get a reward too.

I get wearefeel - it's a monthly multivitamin that's actually quite good. I used to buy separate ones from different places but have actually felt like I have more energy, better moods etc with this. Here's my referral if anyone wants to try it

Mrscaptainraymondholt · 05/05/2020 21:34

Pact and Harry’s blades here (for me! Not DH).....

Used to have Birchbox and Unibox - both complete waste of money after novelty wore off

IsobelPear · 05/05/2020 21:49

I may try bloom and wild! If I do I'll use that code above

namechangenumber2 · 05/05/2020 22:02

We have an HP ink subscription, that's about as exciting as our life gets! Grin
