Peter Kay’s Car Share degrading women?

If you haven’t already heard, Peter Kay and the BBC released a new episode of Peter Kay’s Car Share yesterday.

At about 6 minutes 53 into the episode, Peter Kay and his costar start discussing a three year old breastfeeding at soft-play.

The language used to describe something so natural was absolutely abhorrent.

There are so many things wrong with this. AIBU to think that in this day this should not have been aired?

Really enjoyed a lot of Peter Kay but somehow didn't feel it hit the Mark- other than the radio adverts which were hilarious!

Out of interest, OP, what do you find funny? If you were to watch a comedian, who would you watch? A comedy film, maybe ?

That was a joke? And the stuff about expressing milk? Not funny in my view. Not disgusted or angered but not funny.

I didn,t see it. I think the prob though is that although we joke thats part of the prob. We need to think it as normal not something to joke about.

I love Peter Kay but have to say I didn't find the bf stuff funny at all. Just seemed kind of childish and ignorant

That was meant to be a joke? Breastfeeding a three year old is perfectly natural. Then the "proper teeth" comment? Babies start getting teeth at around 6 months old when they are much too young to stop drinking milk.
